On ground. It's weighted down with water or sand. 50" is the size of the backboard and height of rim is 7.5' to 10'.
So on ground are more recommended than in ground, talking about quality
Thx for quick reply

In ground means you are digging a hole and pouring cement to hold the pole upright. These on ground ones are "portable" and can be moved and stored.

From what I can tell on the NXT listing on Amazon, this is a polycarbonate backboard. I see there's a Spalding 60 in with acrylic backboard at Walmart for a similar price. Is there a reason I should consider this one over the Spalding?

In ground is much stronger and sturdy, but portable is much cheaper/easier/faster to setup and can be moved at any time.

How does this compare to the Spalding 54" Performance Acrylic AccuGlide Portable Basketball Hoop that Costco sells?

The portable ones are nice in a pinch, but but never seem to hold up as well as a good old fashioned fixed in concrete goals. Seems like there is a lot of play with the goal as well, but I guess in a pinch these will work with helping young kids develop basic skills for playing the game. I still wish these were built a little more solid, but that would probably cost a lot more.

I luckily got in on the Walmart Spaulding $70 deal

It wasn't easy to put together, but it's absolutely perfect for my kids. (7,6,3)

From what I've read, polycarbonate backboards can yellow from UV exposure over time while acrylic doesn't. Is the Costco one still on sale?

No, it's not on sale and it's been out of stock for awhile.

polycarbonate as a material is way more stronger material than acrylic. I don't know anything about basketball though.

This deal Silverback from Walmart or the Spaulding deal from target which was posted earlier? Which one is better? Quality wise and bang for the buck…

Anyone have experience storing this thing? Could this be collapsed and rolled into a garage when not in use?

Great brand. Assembly always scares me on this type of stuff though.
I bought it last week. Put it together today. 3 hours solo. Wasn't bad honestly.

Is this really the nxt that was just on sale for $250? From what I can find is the sbx should be the inground version
I wondered the same thing. I reached out to Silverback, and they told me this portable from Walmart is identical to the NXT portable, but this has a gray pole and the NXT is black.
