Totally true. I own both 12 and 20v. If I'm using it all day and can get away with using 12v, I'm going to use 12v.

If y'all haven't used modern 12v tools, give them a try. You'll probably be pleasantly surprised.

Really, you like those? I have 2 and they are absolute trash. Great if you're a DIYer I guess but unless you like swapping batteries off the charger all day long they don't work for any sort of real work. I just use them in the flashlight now :/
Care to give more details?

The 12v uses 18650 cells, the 20v powerstack uses flat cells similar to your cell phone. Venting and heat dissipation are better on the 18650 as well.

Basically the powerstacks suffer with high drain repetitively.

The comparison by him was vs the 20v non stack, not these 12v batteries.

I'll agree they are to small to be useful in anything other than drills or for small task and they really not worth the price premium in the current 1.7ah size.

Got these in similar deal last year. Unfortunately, have not yet come across any "tools only" deals yet on 12v power tools using these batteries (excluding drill / impact).

Guess these make sense for folks that might already have 12v tools.

Man you missed a crazy good deal back in November of last year. Baretool with free 3ah battery for $50. I was able to fill out my starter kit with that deal and have plenty of batteries.

Stock shows 10+, but stuff can't find any in the store. Lowes stock # is not reliable. Better to stay at home not to waste money at Fuel
