back in stock this morning. like last deal.

Quote from SlySol:
Actually, you can activate it online without even touching the phone and others have reported that it still unlocks after 60 days. Essentially, you just take the IMEI from your "shipped" email and activate through the TW website. You'd waste the 30 days of service that way, but it's an option if getting it unlocked is the priority.

How's the condition of the phones?
Only one has arrived as of now but it looks great! A very small and seemingly insignificant scuff mark on one of the corners.

Deal isn't dead; just delayed. I used it this morning on my second set of two.
I've been trying to get one but it seems it is always out of stock when I check. Around what time were they available earlier if you don't mind me asking? Thanks

I placed my two orders around 6:45AM eastern time. Used CART15 and USI15 as the codes. I'm upgrading my phones so I intend to keep these and sell the old ones.

The emails will probably show up … they just seem to be delayed by a few days sometimes.
Yes, the email showed up last night and the phone was delivered today. In the activation instructions they say -

We're almost done! Please follow the steps below to configure your device and get your phone working.
instructions for: 356XXXXXXXXXXXX
ACTIVATION INSTRUCTIONS

Insert the SIM card into your phone:
Turn your phone OFF and back ON.
Make a call.

If the call does not connect, wait a few minutes, then reboot your phone and try again.
Is the red text really necessary? Debating if I should do now or keep the phone in the box for next 2 months. Just don't want to discover 2 months later the phone wasn't activated and have to wait another 2 months for unlocking Big Grin
In the account summary the status is "active" though...

Several users from previous threads have reported successful unlocks by simply activating online and not actually inserting the SIM or doing anything with the phone itself, so it shouldn't be an issue as long as the device shows up as active. The 60 day trigger should be activated and that serial number updated as unlocked with the Apple activation servers once the time is up.

So I got in on one, or a few, of these deals from TW in January. Traded all but one that I had forgotten that I had. I saw the box last month, opened it, and tried another sim first. Locked. Put the TW sim back in and did the setup, it looked like it connected/registered with Apple servers, and got a message a few minutes later saying that the phone would automatically be unlocked on XX/XX date 60 days later. That now being in July rather than in March, because I delayed taking it out of the box. Just my .02

Did you go through the online activation process when you first received the phone and verify that the status showed as active on the account at that time? I believe that's what a couple other users did and they got the unlock without ever even opening the box or using the SIM at all. But going through the TW online activation is the crucial step to trigger the unlock from what I've seen.

Thanks for the feedback! I have the same question as SlySol - if yours did show as "active" in Jan then I'll go ahead putting in the SIM right now to avoid a delay 2 months from now.

Some even reported never opening new 11s, just activating the IMEI with Total and waiting 60 days. Unlocked while still sealed in the box. YMMV
I know I've seen a couple of posts stating they did that, including at least one of the regulars in these threads. Do you recall who that was? Maybe WiseGoat, Oregon, or Chaoss?

Edit: Found one of the posts from SrevenSDer with a factory sealed 11. Pretty sure the TW activation part is the critical step, whether you open the box or not …

I got these strictly for trade purposes, so it didn't matter to me. But I don't think it would have showed active in Jan. and then been able to activate the sim for a month of service in May. I probably didn't do a thing (online or on phone) until May, and then did both. Mine were refurbs, so in that case opening the box (if I had remembered) wouldn't have mattered.

Ordered on 06/21, and still stuck on 'Processing'. Anybody got any updates on theirs? 🥹

Correct. Most have reported auto unlock 60 days after activation without a second month of service. Occasionally, it doesn't happen automatically but a call to the unlock dept should take care of it.
