I've used a QSP penguin as my primary mail and box opener for a few years now. I've cut a ton of cardboard, tape, papers, accidental staples etc. I put a nice edge on it with my kme when the factory edge started to lack. I've stropped it a few times since but it's held up great and is one of the nicest "cheap" knives I've had. Highly recommend any of the QSP D2 knives.

There's only free shipping on orders over $99 right now. I don't see any evidence for a coupon code, which they sometimes do at BladeHQ. I think the OP should edit and remove the free shipping language.

I have changed the original post, the shipping was free during their Father's Day promotion.

Can anyone explain the point of these more expensive knifes (ie $10+) compared to cheapy knifes? Seems like I've been using one from dollar tree lots and no issues, normal sharpening

You may ask this question to ladies to understand why: what is different between those fancy handbags with the ones from gift shops?

Return back to your question, it's all about craftsmanship, design, metal toughness, edge retention, knife makers, brand names and functionality, etc.
