Home depot has similar but marked as 1700 series (probably same stuff but different number so competition can't match) for same $2.38 or roll of 5 for $7.98 https://www.homedepot.c
The best so far is super 33+ and 88 IMO but yes they will cost more. For cheap bulk price sometimes Amazon basic one is on good deal as well.

Never thought of that. Curious on reason why?

The 3M site [3m.com] that has many varieties of electrical tapes for various applications does not list them by economy. The 3M Templex line is what HD sells, but there are many that are similar and defined in their specifications.
Many would agree that for normal residential electrical work using 3M products, the 88 is the best because it has a bit more fire retardant, then the 33 and then something like this 700 that for $2 delivered to your door, is a decent deal. Just know that when removing this, it will leave more residue behind. Actually, in some ways that matter, the electrical tape from Harbor Freight compares in quality to this 700, Lowes 1700 and Home Depot's Templex line.
Personally, I like the 3M silicone tapes that are waterproof and not just water resistant, more heat resistant, wide temperature usage, etc., but they are pricey.
Models from that Black Tape Runway model show, probably ain't complaining lol
But apparently it's been $2 since December 2021
it had a coupon last year:

I've been pretty happy with it. If you're willing to buy in bulk, you aren't going to get a much better deal.

Do you know if storing the electrical tap in a closed plastic bag will preserve the adhesiveness for a few years? I dont use that many but its cheaper if buying more than one lol
