Got this text message an hour ago. looks like they are making changes to their 5 for 100 plan. time to shop for new plans now.


Cricket Free Msg: Starting [July 20], your rate plan price will change. The average price per line on your account will be $26.00/mo. instead of $20.00/mo. Visit a Cricket store or https://www.cricketwireless.com/RatePlans to learn about other Cricket rate plans that may offer a better value for you. If you stay on your current plan, the monthly price for line 4 will be $20 instead of $10 and line 5 will be $20 instead of $0.

That's the plan I'm on

Still a great value IMO especially since Cricket got rid of their speed caps on these plans...$25 a month for unlimited, plus some Canada and Mexico calling, etc.

I got the message w couple days ago. I still have 300 in credits so looks like Ill have to switch to the unlimited plan for a couple months. Looks like I may switch to Fi for a few months for a phone deal then try USmobile.

Yeah I have toyed with the idea other plans but Cricket just works well and for the price I don't want to futz around with going to some cruddy MVNO. At least Cricket is owned by ATT so I feel better about that

Yeah I got the same message last week. Spoke with their CS but said there is nothing they can do to get me back on the $100 plan as it is being retired. Best option looks to be the $125 unlimited plan.

What is the best way and day to make the change to the 5/125? I have two 5/100 plans each with about $1000 credit. I am paranoid something will go wrong. Btw. None of my lines got this message about the plan discontinuation. Ty sd.

Over 7 years now on Cricket family plan very happy ( next to flawless ) the only other carrier I have considered is Visible by Verizon, Any thoughts Visible ?

It looks like its the end of days for me and Cricket. The ATT service in areas around me are saturated, so I dont get any data in many areas around me.

I am thinking 4 lines unlimited at totalwireless for $95 (100GB shared for 4 lines)
and 1 line at total wireless for my fifth line for $20 (1GB)

How should I port my numbers? Port the fifth line first, then port the other 4 lines to the new family plan? Its been a while since I have switched carriers.
