Is this a worthy upgrade over a regular non ball dyson from 2017?

Thank you for sharing the idea. I chat with dyson online for the price match and get the pet clean up kit for $254

The brush lasts 1-2 months tops. It freezes completely, and you have to replace the entire assembly.

Edit: the assembly cost is around $100. I'm thinking if I should get yet another one.

This vacuum should be worth $100 now with V8, V9, V10, and V11 all cordless options still in the market.

Except cordless can't compare to a full upright

This is 2010's logic. Many of the cordlesses are very powerful now. I just threw away my hoover 2015 upright and replaced it with the samsung jet 90.

However, sure if you want to compare a shop vac to a cordless, I suppose a cordless will lose.

It's not just the suction power of the cordlesses that's the problem, it's the pathetic battery duration of even the higher end model cordlesses. Two large rooms and the battery is dead- this is why despite having the V6, then upgrading to the V8 we still have our old DC animal.

If you live in a flat or have only hard surfaces they are fine, but one flight of carpeted steps on "max" kills the battery- for every cordless model we've owned- and still own.
Waiting an hour and change between vacuuming each room while it charges in not a solution.

How long do you take to actually vaccum? Batteries last up to an hour now. I've NEVER had one actually die on me w/ my 3000 sq/ft home.

My V8 has never run more than 20 minutes on low/normal. MAX is less than 4-5 minutes. We have 1 dog, 1 cat and carpets so we spot vacuum daily and full vacuum weekly. We've never gotten the even the main floor done in one charge - our house is about 4200 sqft under AC.

When we do the whole house we pull our old DC animal out. Our short battery life is consistent with our friends and others I've talked to online
