Great price but so not recommended because of the app that controls it. The latest update made this robot basically useless. Just read the reviews for the ihome clean app on whatever app store you use.

Unfortunately, I'm losing a lot of faith with iHome products. Just recently, iHome turned off the smart home functionality for all their smart plugs making them useless. It worked well for the past 4 years but now it's simply paper weights.

Huh, the latest update has been fantastic both ours. I will say that I did have to reset and re-add one of them to the app, but it picked up right where it left of with settings, map, and no-go zones.

Have this exact one cleaning as we speak. Highly recommend.

The app update has made it much better and more user friendly, though I did need to reset zones.

Only downside is no Alexa/Google integration to easily say "Alexa, clean the family room." That being said, I just setup different areas on schedules or use the iHome app.

Started facing this issue with a week old unit. While or perhaps after charging it moves off the base and sits 1 foot away. Home button, makes it announce it will go back to the dock, but it doesn't move. If I push it manually to the dock, it goes in a loop of announcing charging, charging, charging. I think I am returning this one and testing wyze further.

got one, arrived yesterday. endless cliff sensor error loop. contacted CS, told to return to retailer. will do, ordered another - sometimes you get a dud. but what a pain.

I started with a random ionvac, to a 2 in 1 smart navigation iHome Eclipse (no lidar) to this. This is definitely well worth the 189$. No issues here, cannot be placed on carpet unless you place some kind of hard mat beneath both the base and the robot because it'll eventually sink in the carpet causing it to lose its charging connection. The app works fine, set up zones, boundaries, and a schedule. You can tell it to clean only certain rooms if you wanted, double clean certain rooms. Does a really good job navigating to that room. I see people complaining about loudness but honestly I have it programmed to run while I'm not home, and let's face it, all vacuums are loud. This vacuum is so much better than a no lidar smart navigation or dumb random vacuum. Definitely not worth 600$, I wouldn't buy this at 400$, but at 200$ it's definitely worth it. Will be going back to add on the extended protection plan because I'm running this once every 2 day, 40 min run time.

Both one and run once... Dead. Replacing
Overall, it looked decent to me for the price - app, self-emptying tank, and mopping worked fine. It was running circles sometimes on tiles though (I have a ceramic tile), mopped fine on hardwood. The battery could last longer as well

Decent robot for the price imo. If you want the same features from a well known brand then prepare to pay 5x more. I don't think it has the best suction but does very well with cleaning pet hair from hardwood and rug (I don't have carpet).
Self emptying is a game changer if you have a shedding pet, LiDAR is great to have. Once you set the areas, boundaries and create a cleaning schedule, you don't really need to play with the app. Although imo app is also quite good and has too many options to customize

We had a Shark UR1000SR self-emptying one from Costco that always got lost & couldn't return to base and never followed maps. Could bnever get it to work. Returned it to Costco.

Got this deal from Walmart. Have been using it a for a few days in a row. Mapping works great. It cleans pretty good. We have mostly hardwood floors and some carpet. Always returns to base.
Tried the mopping once and it works pretty good.

*Returning it after using it for less than a day*

Let's talk about the pros first:
- Cleaning functionality is good, as good as the expensive alternates
- Battery life seems great too. Consumed less than 20% while cleaning my 800 sq ft floor for the first time
- App is also nice (although it has poor ratings on the app store – may be because of the recent major update that messed with people's mapping)

Now the cons:
- The mopping function is a disaster. It just doesn't work. They better remove the functionality and not advertise it anymore.
- The robot would randomly go off from the base and then return to the base for charging for no apparent reason. This is the reason for me returning this!

I had a similar issue with mop attachment on, and it was resolved after I removed the attachment

I wasn't able to connect the vacuum to the app on my iPhone, my Wifi never populated in the field and manual entry didn't work. I tried different things like turning off 5Ghz, resets etc. I called support as a last resort before returning it. Didn't hope for much help, tech asked me to try a different phone. I tried from my spouse's iPhone and it worked! Can't talk to how it performs yet but the setup can be frustrating. Also, it already had a map of my home when I got the app to work, it must have run overnight, thats creepy, I never asked it to.
I was able to connect by moving far away from the vacuum

Been running this nightly around the kitchen area since received weeks ago. So far, so good. Have not had to empty out the large vacuum bag yet. The mapping feature allowed me to set up daily vacuuming for around the kitchen, and twice a week for family room and dining area. It successfully avoids stair cliff, and managed to vacuum area rugs which do not have shag pile. For the price it displaced my Roborock S5 to another area that does not cause the vacuum to need to be emptied too often compared to kitchen, family, and dining areas. Satisfied with purchase. Thanks to the OP.

I have not used the mopping feature and do not plan to. Using the O-cedar bucket mopping system which is very effective, able to focus on tough spots, and pretty quick. Bought the new model version of that SlickDeal post.

how is it deal with pet hair? The shark I have tangles every single time and needs cleaning after every time. Hair tangle kills the self emptying feature as I need to clean the brush everytime.
is wyze better dealing with hairs or this?

I've been using it over a month with same map I created on my first use.
