Great price but so not recommended because of the app that controls it. The latest update made this robot basically useless. Just read the reviews for the ihome clean app on whatever app store you use.

Unfortunately, I'm losing a lot of faith with iHome products. Just recently, iHome turned off the smart home functionality for all their smart plugs making them useless. It worked well for the past 4 years but now it's simply paper weights.

Huh, the latest update has been fantastic both ours. I will say that I did have to reset and re-add one of them to the app, but it picked up right where it left of with settings, map, and no-go zones.

Have this exact one cleaning as we speak. Highly recommend.

The app update has made it much better and more user friendly, though I did need to reset zones.

Only downside is no Alexa/Google integration to easily say "Alexa, clean the family room." That being said, I just setup different areas on schedules or use the iHome app.

Quick question, is there ever a reason to remove the mopping attachment? My apartment is basically all carpet except the kitchen and bathrooms. I'm wondering if I should always be taking the mop attachment off for the carpets.

Purchased and used for roughly 5 days. 2/5 stars. Don't waste your money.

App: 10/10
Dock: 8/10
Unit: 8/10
Cleaning: 5/10
Using it: 9/10
Loudness: 7/10

We decided to let it run on our house for 5 days on max suction. Which is 90% hardwood and 10% tile. After five days we decided to run our ECOVACS DEEBOT N79S to see how the new unit compared, the Deebot was full in less than 30 minutes.
maybe just a bad unit? Another guy in the same thread said it sucks everything.

Has anyone else successfully placed the charging dock/dust bin on carpet area? On hard floor it docks in the first try, while on carpet, it comes extremely close, aligns properly, just touches the charging pins, and then backs off. Keeps repeating it for 3 to 4 times and then just wanders off. Tried multiple places on the carpet, and some of them have vast open area (more than 5 ft in the front, and 2 ft on the side).

Also found a year-old video showing the exact same problem. You would think a firmware upgrade would have fixed it by now.
Same issue, and once it backed off a non carpet area with 83% charge. But that's only once compared to every time it fails to stay charging on the carpet.

I have this vacuum and works really well. its been a year and no issues so far. if you have shag carpets don't buy this one but if you have simple flat carpet no issues. I have mostly tile floors so this is an excellent addition to my house. Lidar sensor and auto empty bin is a life saver. I used to have a Samsung vacuum and every day I had to find the vacuum as it was stuck somewhere but this one does the job without any issues. if you have shag carpet as I have it in my living room you can create to exclude the parameter in the map. I love how smart this vacuum is. you create a schedule and forget about cleaning your house. I will buy this one again in a heartbeat and you cannot beat this price.
So far I agree this iHome vac is doing a good job on tule floors, with couple runner rugs. The app is excellent. I easily figured out how to create "regions" which can now be programed to be vacuumed how often you like versus other regions. You can even set to vacuum area once or twice. Just need to know how to get replacement brush when needed.

I bought this kit and brush, roller and dust bag fits perfectly, no issue but filter is large on this kit so it won't fit. This kit has 4 brush but only 2 will fit. I believe this kit is for Proscenic M8 and that has 2 brush left and right and Ihome only has 1 brush on the left.

Update- currently above listing is missing the kit with roller. I bought the roller kit for $24 last last week from the same url, probably out of stock!

I wasn't able to connect the vacuum to the app on my iPhone, my Wifi never populated in the field and manual entry didn't work. I tried different things like turning off 5Ghz, resets etc. I called support as a last resort before returning it. Didn't hope for much help, tech asked me to try a different phone. I tried from my spouse's iPhone and it worked! Can't talk to how it performs yet but the setup can be frustrating. Also, it already had a map of my home when I got the app to work, it must have run overnight, thats creepy, I never asked it to.

Anyone have this and have dogs too? Wondering how it works with pet hair?
We have two small dogs with relatively short hair, and the Nova did a pretty good job on our hardwood floors and (low) carpets. It took a while to understand how to create zones and borders (watch YouTube for better instructions on that), but seems to work much better than our older robot vac without mapping. Love the self-emptying function. The mopping function was okay - probably good for maintenance as opposed to thorough (hand) cleaning. I would definitely recommend this for $189 and free shipping!

Anyone else buy 3 different vacuums with these sales? lol. 6 in my case actually since I bought 2 of each - wyze, neato, iHome

Neato - super shitty app, can't do basic stuff like rooms, plus updating the firmware would keep bugging out. I don't have faith in that. the vacuum function seemed pretty good though, probably the best of all 3.

the wyze and iHome seem to have pretty comparable apps - but the self emptying and mopping function make the iHome more worth it to me, so I'll be returning the other 2 types

Does anyone used mop function in this ? It's not following LiDAR path and randomly cleaning . Is it the way it's supposed to clean on mop function ?

Mine has quirks like does not always returns to dock with it attached, outside of that nope no reason to take it off that I can find.

Sometimes but only in certain spots, maybe it sensors are picking up extra dirty and its going over it again not sure, but also make sure you clean the cliff and infared sensors. The one time my robot was acting really wonky by not doing the standard outside first than inside pattern it was cause of the infared sensors being dirty.

That cant be blamed on the device, thats the iphone cause it didnt want to recognize your wifi network 2.4ghz connection. Iphones are very very finicky when it comes to not using 5Ghz which is why people who use Mesh networking have some problems with them. Also true for some IoT products.

All the parts can be directly purchased from the ihomeclean website. No clue why its not a part of the ihome website in general so dont ask.

It specifically states in the manual not to set it on carpet. I placed mine on carpet with a piece of cardboard under it for now, I'll probably find a little rubber mat or something to replace the cardboard.

To all the above I took a good look at both the nova and the pro, but they seem identical for the one glaring staring you in the face oversight. The PRO comes with a different empty bin that has a hard plastic platform base so you can set it on carpet, there you go, only difference that can be found between the two versions. As for why MSRP is higher NOVA is an older product when robot vacs were still priced high and this newer group is more in line with proper pricing my only guess.
