I actually own this thing. The lattego attachment is a huge draw though. I honestly would purchase without but I don't think this is a "slickdeal" at 500 and change without it.

Honestly these super autos are a fairly niche product, very expensive and somewhat complex machines. A real Coffee/espresso fanatic isn't going to buy one. The average person isn't willing to throw in 500-1.5k+ for one either.

These blow kuriegs and similar out of the water. Although I feel like this will pull shots similar quality to nespresso it's only worth it to buy if it's on a great sale or your doing a few shots a day. Because if your doing a few shots a day that nespresso becomes ridiculous cost wise. I had one issue with my machine after maybe 1000 cups but support was good and sent me some rubber gaskets that I put in myself which fixed the issue.

More espresso, less depresso!

I have a higher end auto Gaggia and but for having to replace the grinder assembly, the thing has been great to get my fix when working from home. FWIW, have found that I don't need the automatic milk frother as much as I thought I did.

I would hold out for a Lattego model personally.

Also, there's a good chance they'll be refreshing these lines with a new iced coffee feature. There's a new version of the 3200 that has an iced coffee feature is already live at Williams Sanoma and Sur La Table. None of the older lines (up to 5400) implement the iced coffee feature:

Any idea what it actually does different for the iced coffee? I have the 3200 and I just put ice in a glass and tell it I want an Americano for iced.

I'm guessing the iced coffee setting is probably almost the same as the Americano but the water added after the shot isn't heated, lol. Plus instructions to brew into a cup full of ice. Smilie

This is about the lowest I've seen it since early this year. Lattego isn't a necessity, foaming milk with the wand and a carafe is super easy.

lol you actually brought up kuriegs in this thread... you should also compare them to instant coffee while you're at it.

Bought this with my credit card points. Decent machine and the control is so easy.
Only thing is that you need to keep the internal clean. That could take some time.
Definitely recommend it.

Wish the lattego model was on sale. The auto milk frother is a game changer on the super automatic espresso machines.

Would not recommend this. Basic Delonghi Magnifica is a much better (and cheaper) machine. Owned Delonghi before and now bought this. Super disappointed. This machine feels like is not extracting coffee at all.

I bought one of these for christmas last year,
Its fantastic.

Don't bother with the latte go system, the wand is fine for frothing milk

I had this model but then returned it for the LatteGo. Unfortunately the LatteGo is rarely on sale or in stock. When it's in stock it sells out within a week. It's worth it for the LatteGo
