I bought it (also didn't get the slow shipping cred). Not impressed. Only a brief overview of each park with very little useful information. For example Yosemite is covered in 6 pages, some full of photos with not much text. I wanted to see the park maps- both overview and trails, there are none for any park.
The book is copyrighted 2022, but doesn't include New River Gorge, so the age of the contents is unknown. If I paid more than $2 I'd insist on a refund.

There's multiple reasons why:

1) link: https://www.amazonforum.com/s/que...uage=en_US

Just finished a 5,000 mile road trip. The increase in gas prices was a consideration, but not a deal breaker.

Actually, it'll be record setting for the July 4th weekend. This is why the Fed needs to drive the economy into recession. High prices are supposed to reduce demand but it's not happening yet.

yes, your one anecdote disproves the claim that "most" people probably aren't...

Heading out in two weeks for a long one. Still cheaper than flying.

Same here. A 1000 mile road trip at 35 MPG is going to cost about $100 more than it would have pre-pandemic. That's not exactly breaking the bank, especially when you compare it to what airfares are doing.

Yep, great point. I don't like it, but you only live once. Experiences are important.
