I bought it (also didn't get the slow shipping cred). Not impressed. Only a brief overview of each park with very little useful information. For example Yosemite is covered in 6 pages, some full of photos with not much text. I wanted to see the park maps- both overview and trails, there are none for any park.
The book is copyrighted 2022, but doesn't include New River Gorge, so the age of the contents is unknown. If I paid more than $2 I'd insist on a refund.
yes, your one anecdote disproves the claim that "most" people probably aren't...
It is an anecdote, but is likely representative of anyone considering a trip/vacation. With a large family, the extra expense for gas can easily be offset by swapping from eating out to eating sandwiches for a few lunches.
Twenty years from now, will I remember the extra few hundred dollars in gas, or taking my kids to some of the national parks?
