For $600,There are many other projectors that performs much better. But I guess main selling point of this projector is probably its portability.
It is definitely small & light enough to carry around (Size is actulaly very close to the size of Nintendo switch),If you need a projector that you can pop out on your friend's house, camping, or even at small meeting this can be very handy.
Build quality on this projector is quite good with its metal casing. and personally I think sliding door that turns on/off the projector is pretty smart apporoach. (it also prtects the lens when it is not in use)
It supports the auto focusing/keystone & object avoidance which makes setting whole lot easier especially if you need to move it one place to other. but unfortunately, it is missing tripod mounting at the bottom. (I still don't get why Wemax would put it on Dice but not on this).
With ALDP tech-laser projection it creates quite impressive picture quality. 600 ANSI lumens is still short on watching contents during daytime but if you have a light controlled room, laser projection actually provides better picture quality than its competition. But one thing that you need to make sure is it can only get full 600 ANSI lumens when it is plugged in (it automatically goes to Eco mode when it runs with battery, sigh..)
I like the fact that it powers through USB type C port, so you can also power it if you have portable battery that supports it.
It is using Android based system, but interface is not as easy to navigate as Android TV 9 or 10.
If you have kids around also make sure that they don't expose their eyes to the lens. Even though it has a setting for eye protection, respond time is little slow.
It supports and play 4K contents but what you will see would be all 1080p.
These are just my thought on this projector. Hope it helps your purchasing decision.
Bought this on Amazon for 699. This is a much better price. I'll be returning mine n saving 100 directly. Will provide pros and cons when I'm not on phone. Highly recommend in short.
Edit: now on my PC so easier to type.
Pros
1. Good build quality
2. Good picture quality
3. Good speakers
4. Great price for laser based projector
5. UI is smooth
6. Can install apps but the app manager "launcher" sucks as it's just a folder that has all the apps there. Mine is Network connected (no shield or firestick).
7. ANSI is pretty good with some light available.
Cons
1. The entire unit warms up. This was a huge surprise for me cause no fcking reviews mentioned it. It's a small heater.
2. The auto focus works reduces the screen size down. To recover you have to auto-calibrate. To get the largest screen and good focus turn the auto focus off and just use the auto-calibration. That's why this is a gimmick.
3. Throw is normal as any other Chinese branded projectors.
4. Hard to align screen even with the calibration and keystone. I have mine on their tripod stand else it be a nightmare, I've tried. On the tripod stand it's best if you position the projector as best as you can first and then do the calibration/keystone. Even with this I'm unable to have a good uniform screen hahaha
All in all I'm quite surprise and happy with the Go Advance. I'll be re-ordering and sending my current one back due to the $100 savings. I would recommend this projector if you value portability, picture quality and being laser based.

I would recommend Samsung Freestyle over this. Much clearer image and also works with power bank on the go. This is not a short throw so you need a good distance for a good size image. Same as the regular cheap Chinese 1080p projectors on Amazon.
My Freestyle gives me a 100" screen at around 9ft

Theres been a lot of complaints about buggy interface on Samsung freestyle which was big let down to most of people. Did samsung fix this issue with software update yet? And also this one has only about half of ANSI lumen of Go advanced. Even with projector screen it is pretty much unusable except for using it in pitch dark room

Have you used this Wemax projector to compare? I've used both and would politely disagree as the Wemax is both aesthetically and visually superior in my opinion (power bank compatible as well and 120" max vs 100" max), and I tend to be a bigger fan of more established brand names for appliances and electronics, such as Samsung (all of my current TVs are Samsung).
I'm not trying to knock your opinion, but if you haven't used this Wemax projector, and own such a device for its portability and smaller size (vs UST or higher lumen projectors) for work or casual home use, I would suggest you consider it. So far this beats others I've tried for this type of use, but again, compared to other similar portable and equivalent projectors in a similar lumen and price range (taking all past and current discounts into consideration).

The main selling point of this is on how well it performs for its size. You shouldn't expect this to match up with a big-arse projector that requires ceiling mounting. This small projector has laser projection, enough brightness to run with some ambient light, built in OS (I think you can update it to android tv or Roku?), and ability to take 4k signal. Unfortunately this seems to have input lag of 133ms, so it is not really for gaming.

This company basically lies about the resolution. I bought their "1080p" projector before and found that it was actually a 540p projector. It never said 540p anywhere on the web page. Frustrating conversation with their customer service, and they didn't let me refund it. Considering they're willing to lie about something so fundamental, I'd bet they are lying about lamp life, their lumens, and skimp on the quality of materials. For the projector I got (which was not this one), the coloring was uneven with the edges being lighter than the center, and honestly felt more like a toy than a serious projector. Their pricing is just doubling the list price and giving you a 40% discount via a coupon to trick you into thinking you got a deal.
The biggest issue I typically have with projectors this size is you can only do so much with a speaker that size so you'll still probably want an external speaker of some kind.
600 lumens though is very respectable all things considered
If anyone is interested, I bought this renewed Anker projector for around this price:
Anker Nebula Cosmos Full HD 1080p Home Entertainment Projector, 1080p Video Projector,900 ANSI Lumens, Android TV 9.0, Digital Zoom, HLG, HDR10,(Onyx Black) (Renewed) https://a.co/d/7G9vDaZ
It's obviously less portable, but 50% percent bright and 5x as loud. I've had an Anker projector for 4 years that still works well so I'm hopeful the new one will be of similar quality.

I watched a few YouTube videos where I've heard twice from 2 diff videos that Wemax told them there might be a Android 10 update in August. I don't know true this is, but I'm mentioning it lol

I don't think Wemax works on Android. These are products from another company branded as Wemax and resold. If anything it would be the parent company and there's almost zero percent change that there will be an update, just like 99% of the Chinese projector brands out there. I believe it's a cost thing they are avoiding with android...above 9.
Edit: Darn, code's not working so I think it's a dead deal. Just returned mine back to Amazon. Hope it comes back again.

I wrote a massive write-up and lost it unfortuntely. So sad, it was in depth. I'll keep this as brief as my passion will let me as I don't want to write everything all over again. I'll paraphrase. Don't buy it, save your money. Get the Xgimi Elfin instead for $599 with a $50 coupon not on sale.
I wanted to say that Xgimi is a terrible company and this projector is not worth even $400 if it were on sale for that. They advertise this for $1200 MSRP, I got it for $850 on sale, returned. Their IndieGogo backers paid $799 and now it's on sale for $599. If I were a backer I'd feel a little upset. But that said, go check out their IndieGogo page and you'll see how they treat their existing backers. Imagine how they'll treat you as a customer if you run into any problems.
----- Battery is advertised for 90 minutes, I get 30-40 at best.
---- Autokeystone runs every time you turn the projector on, so if it never works right for you, it never will. if you manually adjust it, it won't remember. You'll be reliving Groundhog Day every time you turn it on.
----- USB-C charged, yep. But I could only get it to work with a power adapter in a wall outlet. None of my power banks worked, it kept trying to charge my fully charged power banks. Yes, they were also 65W.
----- It gets hot. Like laptop from 2010 running Adobe Premiere Pro hot. Like a laptop that's too hot to keep in your lap hot. It isn't something I feel comfortable leaving on any of my furniture directly. Thinking of how it could distort or discolor my coffee table.
----- Nowhere to mount. They sell a 1000x marked up cellphone tripod mount under their subsidiary Wewatch that feels unsafe and cheap. Bought and returned.
----- 600 lumens feels closer to 300 lumens. Had it side-by-side a BenQ GV30 (300 advertised lumens) and the brightness was indistinguishable.
----- 1080p that doesn't quite feel 1080p but not exactly 720p either... it's somewhere in between.
----- No phyiscal buttons so if you lose the remote you're screwed.
----- Limited apps, terrible UI, clunky to use. Only way to really get a usable version of Netflix on it is to buy a firestick or chromecast
----- Also, how do you cast to it? I have a Macbook, iPad, and Samsung Galaxy and I couldn't cast anything neatly to it without it looking terrible. It doesn't cast like chromecast, it is really more like wireless screenshare. Watching movies has this jumpy/skippy lag (YouTube casting too). Audio out of sync. I'm surprised nobody is talking about how bad it is to actually trying to share anything to this without an HDMI cable.
----- Audio is terrible but I expected nothing less. This is the size of a Nintendo Switch, I would not consume serious content using the built-in speakers. But it's nice that they included them
----- The fan does get relatively loud but not any louder than your Windows PC from 10 years ago screaming for air if that gives you any idea of what it sounds like.
----- I tried to get them to take the return and they fought me every step of the way. If you're not happy with the product then good luck getting your money back.
I saw someone on Amazon suggesting that you can take this to the beach with your family... AND DO WHAT EXACTLY? I seriously think they pay people to leave reviews. I tried to review this on Amazon and Amazon gave me a warning saying basically, "we're seeing some shady af behavior with this product specifically so we're limiting reviews to those who actually bought it through Amazon".
Since I bought this projector and returned it a few weeks ago they've been using the name "Wemax Go Advanced for Business". I work in a space where I travel and deliver presentations too frequently. Although portable, I can't imagine using this in any advertised or practical manner. So let me leave you with this image...
Imagine you're delivering a presentation for your client. You decide to ignore all of the preinstalled technology (projectors, TV's, video conferencing systems) in the conference room and go straight for your Wemax Go POS for Biz. As you fumble for 10 minutes figuring out how to close the blinds and shut off the damn lights (most new offices have too much technology these days, even adjusting lights can be annoying sometimes), you finally get your projector on the table. Yes, you're being judged by your peers and your clients for wasting the last 10 minutes to flaunt your overpriced trash on the table. After wiping off the bullets of sweat from your face, you realize you forgot your HDMI cable so you have to figure out how to get your laptop connected. Dammit you need to connect it to wifi first and have to wait for security to authorize your guest login. Another 15 minutes lost. Finally, you somehow figure out how to get your Mac to cast your screen to it (because good luck on Windows).
As the entire room squints to see what you're casting onto the wall because the brightness is dimmed due to it running in eco mode and because the projector is falsely advertised as projecting at 600 lumens when in reality it's probably closer to 300 lumens plugged in, you're approximately 32 minutes into your 90 minute presentation and the projector dies. Grab your battery. Dammit, it's reverse charging your already 100% charged battery. Your clients are now snickering at your joke of a life. You take out your power adapter and scramble to find a convenient outlet to get this thing running because you're not a quitter and you won't let these series of challenges dissuade you. As you upshift the pitch of your voice to counter the obnoxious fan noise, the projector randomly loses focus. Wtf? You go to adjust focus again as you wrap up your final 15 minutes of the presentation/demo.
In your closing remarks, your client politely requests that you never return to their campus again. You arrive home from your grueling return trip after a series of delayed and cancelled flights because your loyalty perks are with American Airlines instead of Delta. Your boss calls. He received word that you had just lost your biggest account and that you'll be a part of the next round of COVID-related layoffs even though there's a labor shortage in the market, everyone's well past their third round of boosters, and many companies are now returning to office-based work. Your wife hears of the news, both in shock and anger knowing that while other companies are fighting for new hires you can't even hold a job. She can't be with a man who lacks confidence in presenting to clients, she doesn't want to raise kids with a father like that -- she leaves you. She even took the dog. Now you have an empty house, no job, family's gone... But at least you have your Wemax Go Advanced POS for Biz.
