These are slightly better than the off brand sunglasses you find on Amazon for around $15.

They're one of the few brands not owned and made by the Italian Sunglasses monopoly Luxotica. That said, Hugo Boss sunglasses are no longer owned and made by the German founding company. They were bought by the Italian company Sefilo, and are manufactured in a bunch of factories around the world, South Korea and China to name a few. The ones listed are more than likely made in different countries. Better quality sunglasses can be had for cheaper. I'd buy these before I bought anything by Luxotica, though. Contrary to popular belief, monopolies are legal in most of the world (the US being an exception). Luxotica owns 80% of all the sunglasses companies in the world, along with the majority of the sunglasses and optometrist retail chains (Sunglass Hut, LensCrafters, Pearle Vision), and the second largest eye insurance company (EyeMed). They're the reason the price of sunglasses have gone up over 1,000% in the last few decades (Ray Bans used to retail for $20 before Luxotica bought them out, for example), and the reason the quality of them has plummeted. Unfortunately, many of the other manufacturers have followed suit and raised prices to appear like a luxury product, as well. Tomahawk Shades, Enemy, Warby Parker, Hobie, Quay, and Sungod are a few brands that are higher quality sunglasses than these and Luxotica's current lineup, and are much cheaper. If you want "buy if for life" quality sunglasses, Maui Jim and Serengeti are MUCH better quality than Luxotica brands, but they've gotten as expensive as Luxotica. Maui Jim sunglasses can be bought from Costco for less than $100, and are some of the highest quality sunglasses you can buy.
However, if the price is good and you like the look, who cares if they only last 2 years. I'd probably lose them long before then.
