Another way to check the original price is other stores or Sonys website. Best Buy usually rips off on prices. So if it is lower than $1105 then it means Walmart I inflating.

So Best Buy [bestbuy.com] has it for $699 as original. So this is not $1105 as Walmart claims in a bid to get customer fall into a false trap of big discounts. Best Buy is usually benchmark because it is expensive than Costco or Sam's Club. But Walmart having an expensive price than Best Buy and by almost $500 means it's inflating the cost and then marking it down to half off.

Technically this is $100 off a regular price.

Would be criminal to buy this when the U8G is the same price. It's not even a VA panel, and it's 60Hz.
