FYI, I have this model. It has annoyingly loud beeps for every button press and when cooking is complete. These cannot be turned off.

Fixed mine by pulling off the top cover and locating the piezo buzzer. It's a small, cylindrical black piece of plastic with a hole in the top. I just pulled it off the circuit board with pliers. YouTube has a video on it. Only downside is you will have no beeping at all (which is preferable to the constant noise).

Some more downsides with this unit- too small for a 12" pizza or regular sized whole chicken. And the vent is on the back- I prefer it on the sides, so that is not blowing hot air right against the wall.
Also it took running it sans food several times when I first got it to get rid of the chemical smell.

All that said cooks very good and very quick. Having two levels for cooking is great- though the top tray (next to heating element cooks much faster than middle.

I have been very happy with it at the $50 I paid.

Dang was buying off of BB website and it turned into no longer available for shipping but luckily I was able to get one on ebay. This is a good replacement for my recalled one.

Can you cover part of the hole on the buzzer to make the sound bit muted?

Have you tried putting the buzzer back on but with a piece of tape over the hole?

I have this. Yes it beeps loud. But other than that it's the best air fryers I've ever had. Cooking on the top shelf cooks faster than the bottom

Wouldn't recommend buying this. Bought one on a previous deal and nothing but problems. About two hours with Insignia support to try to resolve it. Finally got them to process the warranty, at which point they wanted me to make an appointment with geek squad to further evaluate the device. After several hours, the BB manager has finally agreed to let me return it for something else.

Bought this a few weeks ago, same deal. Returning it today. It had a terrible plastic chemical smell on the inside that would not go away no matter how many times I ran it. Even tried vinegar and lemon juice. Going to spend more money to get a better one.
