20% off on a $25 Prime Day Firestick is $5 + $3 TI credit= $8. So it's basically a push.
Trade-ins on other Categories like Paperwhites and Tablets can result in great deals.
I'm already planning on trading in my old HD 8 for the new model and it will cost me about $10 OOP to upgrade.
But the 20% Trade-in coupon only works on like products in the same category: E-readers, Tablets, Streaming media players, Echoes, Home Security,
There's always people complaining about Trade-In issues when Prime Day hits, like they can't use their 20% coupon on 65" Fire TV or something. Or the Prime sale prices will end before their Trade-ins can be shipped and processed.
So if anyone is going to do a Trade-In, I suggest starting the process now. Amazon is lot more strict giving out the Instant Credits and they're slower to process the Trade-Ins.
If you have the 20% Trade-in coupon it brings the price down to $36, plus whatever $ amount Amazon gave you for your Trade-in, so $31 at most.
