Dear SDers, can anyone explain to me why I need this? It seems that 43K people know better than me (the amount of reviews), apparently everyone and their mother has gotten one except me...

What would I use it for? Only for when my 'check engine' light comes on? or is this one of those things that I am supposed to do regularly, as part of the maintenance of the car?

Is it only FOMO or do people really get this to check their perfectly-working-car from time to time?

I clicked on the coupon and got an error - can no longer get the coupon discount of $20.

It's like the seller removed the coupon for the product while I was viewing it, then I clicked on it and it errored out. I guess I spent too much time researching if it has any features above and beyond what I already have and by that time the coupon was removed.

I don't need this as I have like ten scan tools and two bmw specific one but it's nice to have one plugged in and connected via Bluetooth when a check engine light shows. For $59 yeah but not $79.

Deal is dead, coupon is not available anymore, it was when I posted my question about ~25 minutes ago, now I can confirm the comment above me saying the coupon is not there..

To me this deal is dead (I was also viewing it about that time). I don't see how this would benefit me with all the scantools (wired, wifi, and oem bmw tools) I have with respect to additional new features I don't have. Just wanted to add another one to my collection I guess but not for $80 for a generic scan tool that supports bluetooth.
