Micro Center has the LG OLED C1 55" for $999.99.
5% cheaper (or 0% APR for 36 months) if you use their store card. Not sure if it's worth the $50 savings to lose the benefit of other credit cards like extended warranty. But the 0% APR for 36 months might be worthwhile for some people.

In-store only, but you can reserve it online for store pickup.

Prices might go cheaper since the C2s are finally coming out, but price isn't bad for a Mid-High tier OLED.

Damn these LG C1's are on a fire sale this week. Good deals. Too bad the 65" is like $5-600 more than the 55".
C'monnn 77!
I contacted Best Buy and they only do the price match if you have a MicroCenter within 25 miles.

This is available at the MicroCenter near me!!! Now all I need to do is wait for the 65 C1 to get closer to this price; and then after that, wait for the 65 C2, or 65 G1 to get lower; and then wait for the 77 C1 to get closer to this price; and then, with the time that'll take, I'll hopefully have figured out what to do/buy. Thank you Slickdeals for teaching me a lot!!!

I agree that it is very tempting even knowing its complete overkill for my living room lol. Id say go check it out in person. The total hours can be found in the service menu via the remote and based on what people here are reporting, MC either already has the hours listed or will check for you. Also since its refurbished its worth having em turn it on if its not already boxed up. In my area, Im betting the refurbs were primarily from people having buyers remorse about not getting something bigger or brighter and not anything to do with the actual TVs having issues. Im looking at it from a gaming POV and its basically a near top of the line match for the new consoles.

Im probably gonna end up grabbing a 55" for 800 but am kinda talking myself into the 65" for 1200

I'm extremely tempted to grab the refurb 55" C1 for $799 to replace my 50" 1080p Elite Kuro... my only hesitation is I'll be using it on-wall displaying art when not in use, along with a small clock in the lower-right corner (similar to the AndroidTV/GoogleTV screensaver but without the weather). I'm trying to judge the risk of burn-in this represents and if QLED would be a better choice. The Kuro has an image-shift feature and burn-in from the clock hasn't been an issue with it... do the LG OLEDs have a similar feature?

LG has implemented pixel shift, logo luminance adjustment, and routine automatic pixel refreshes to minimize the risk of burn-in. They also use larger red subpixels which have alleviated a lot of the issues of early OLEDs.

Is "overkill" even a word in the land of SD? One serious item about the refurb unit from Microcenter is that the warranty is for only 3 months. With an appropriate credit card -- thank you SD -- that doubles to only 6 months. For $2k +/-, for me, I'd like a warranty of at least 1-2 years.

Hang on, went back to MCenter website before concluding this reply, and their website says that the remaining mnf warranty applies. Hey, if it was a recent return, that can change things a bit. Also, interesting that, although out of stock for new, they are showing a discounted price of $2k. I didn't know that the 77 C1 made it's way to that price..

I would be very careful with thinking LG is going to protect you with an open box unit the way they would on a new sealed in box unit
If the receipt says open box or display unit I would be careful

The other thing I noticed at my local Microcenter was that it looked like they(LG) had changed the serial numbers on the boxes for the refurbs...so if a claim was filed and they asked you for the serial number the new one that was assigned would tell them immediately that it was a refurbished unit with a 90 day warranty

Price matched to Best buy, probably going to go with their 5 year warranty for peace of mind.

What's happening? Seems like LG oled deals up the wazoo for the last week?? Is there some new tech coming out and they are dumping these. Or maybe the supply chain and chip shortage issues are finally ending….
Demand has collapsed.

I've been looking to buying one all the way since they first started coming down to 1500 for this model. I still can't pull the trigger, given that my current TV works, so buying this TV, seems overkill imo (keep telling myself daily I do not need a new TV).

If it's the 77 I'd buy it, time for a bigger TV. 55 OLED just makes no sense nowadays.

Cheaper on the toe. I paid $900, their standard counter is $949. NO TAX.
The toe is the best way for this tv. Has been for a while now.
