I purchased this model back in May when it was on deep discount. The fit was disappointing. For me (and other people) the toe box is too tight. Both too narrow and low height. Many reviewers share my impression. They state that Saucony made the Hurricane 23 narrower than previous iterations. The forefoot area of the 23 is even more restrictive than on the 22 which was already tighter than previous updates.

I ended up sending the shoes back. They were that uncomfortable just standing in them for a few minutes.

I also want to point out that there's multiple reviews stating that the mesh upper material tears easily in the forefoot. A Zappos reviewer even posted a photo of his destroyed pair. The tearing and ripping all boils down to the upper being too tight in the toebox.

Athletic footwear sales must have fallen off the cliff this quarter. These discounts are larger than in years past.

Just a couple of weeks ago this shoe was discounted by 50% and people were amazed. Now the price has been reduced by another $30. This is crazy!

These have too much support imo.

Is there really such thing as too much support?

Yes. Some shoes can force the foot into supination. I've experienced this first hand with a pair of NB Vongos when they still used a varus slopped midsole.
