Upside, decent price.
Downside is Red Pocket's awful customer service, and that eBay charges tax on this purchase when it really shouldn't be.

Thanks for that info. I did get a chance to sample some of that (third)world-class customer service last year!

How long can i wait before i activate the SIM, as i am currently on another plan which expires in 2 months. Anyone has experience with verizon cdma sim with the reception/coverage ?

Why don't you specify AT&T only? These discounts never apply to Verizon plans.

Anyone tried RedPocked Verizon plan in the Bay Area had data deprioritization issues? I remember a few years back people had issues with their Verizon plans.

I just switched into a RP plan, porting wife's number from Tracfone. I learned: try to chat early in the morning before others get on and expect it to take a long time. I had to contact RP a total of 3 times and Tracfone a total of 2 times to get everything done. Tracfone doesn't release numbers unless contacted directly. Both Tracfone contacts I was able to make by calling them while I had RP on chat, so that helped. Don't hang up RP chat to reach the other company... keep RP on while you try reaching the other company at the same time. The final RP contact was because my account info online was no longer "connected" to my actual plan activation which is something I should have had taken care during the previous chat session, but I had thought it would just resolve itself.

My Dad has had this plan for a few years. It worked well until the 3G shutdown. Red Pocket cant seem to provision a GSMA (ATT) SIM for a Samsung Galaxy phone to use VoLTE. I used Red Pocket chat three times this month to get my Dad's phone working. Each time I had to wait 3-4 hours in queue, then chat to an "expert" for two hours that had me restart the phone, change the APN, reset network settings, and factory restore the phone - then I am sent a new SIM (to get rid of me). The Red Pocket team doesn't listen, I told them I tried all this before and there is a problem on their end. The last guy said there is a problem on ATT's end (after I refused yet another new SIM) and supposedly scheduled a callback with ATT. Never got the call.

All Verizon based PrePaid services are deprioritized except for Xfinity by the gig. If you're someplace where there are a lot of people (BART station, sporting event, concert), you'll get spotty data service

I don't understand why the code works only on selected plans. Doesn't work on the 1GB plan.
