I have a million flashlights so I won't be buying one of these, but if I did, it would be the ENERGIZER Rechargeable LED Flashlight S1000 for $12.31. Most of the other lights use 6 to 9 AA batteries which can get expensive to replace all the time. The S1000 has an internal 4800mAh lithium rechargeable battery.

I only have like a few hundred. Wave

IMO buying a throw-away battery powered high intensity flashlight doesn't make sense. Go for a rechargeable one.

I previously bought the last two (rechargeable headlamp & camping lantern) from this list and like both of them quite a bit. Especially taking the (low) price into account. Recommended if you're looking for such things.

I would not get the 1000 lumen one because I like a fancier interface (with true low lumen "moonlight", maximum "turbo" setting, ramping etc aka Anduril). Prefer to spend $10 or 15 more for a Sofirn or such.

I bought both last time & I like S1000 better because it throws much farther but narrower. I also bought Sofirn SP35 6500K 2000 lumens. Even though S1000 only rates 1000 lumens but to my eyes, it is as bright as SP35. I like SP35 due to its small size.

The yellow light is pretty good for fishing. No lithium battery to explode in your car. Good for a teen. I know there is brighter but it's a safe light to have around.

You're not being "scammed" into buying more batteries. Rechargeable or not is a choice that can depend upon many factors, like access to a way to recharge that rechargeable battery... If you're stuck with no power but access to AA's, you've scammed YOURSELF. Smilie

i doubt people choose aa if they think it though for daily use. now a day the chance to have aa is less than the chance to have a power bank or outlet. many people carry small powerbank, cars and planes have usb port. but you are not going to see people having aa battery outisde of a house or a store.
