This cameras are pain if you don't pay for the subscription. If you are trying to watch the live feed without a subscription it kicks you out after like 30 seconds very annoying.

I have a couple of Cloud Cams that work perfectly on the free plan, but Amazon has decided to brick all of them in December and is offering a single Blink Mini as reimbursement. I feel like this deal is the lube to get us on the Blink cams and pay a subscription for features we currently get for free.

I take it their cloud service doesn't offer the free 24 hour storage like some others do? And there is no other way to save files locally (for instance to your desktop) for free outside of purchasing their Blink Sync Module 2?

If you created an account by April 15, 2020 you don't have to pay for a subscription to get the benefits of the subscription. Same if you have the XT2 cameras they don't require the subscription either no matter when your account was created.

This one requires USB power whereas the others have AA batteries (and I think all can be powered via USB). The Mini is for indoor use only. It does not require the sync module.
