The Samsung does have better build quality and quad speakers tho, and not Android 9 and not having to mess with Fire Toolbox. Think $160 is the lowest I've seen for the 32gb

The Samsung has a slightly faster cpu than the Mediatek that's on a Fire HD Plus tablet.

But you have to pay $200 for the 64GB version of the Samsung Tab in order to get it with 4GB RAM. The Fire HD Plus has 4GB ram, and often goes on sale in the $120 range, especially with Prime day sale.

The bloatware on the fire tablets is out of control - I have two of these samsung tablets for my insane children, and they abuse the absolute hell out of them, and they work great! If you have children - you can buy really nice bumper covers (like the ones the fire kids tablets have) for $10-$20 that have kickstands and they protect it very well.

Grey part numbers, but I'm assuming the specs are the same regardless of color. Can't find spec sheets for different colors.

A good tablet for sure! I bought this for cheaper though when it went on sale and did a trade in via Samsung's website for some more money off, I traded in a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2019 for this as that tablet was great but slowing down and started having battery issues.

Question if I may, this tablet vs lenovo tab m10 plus or lenovo tab p11. My 8yr old's birthday is coming up and I am looking for some good tablet. He recently started roblox and watches YouTube kids. Kindly advise

I'm not a fan of the proprietary Samsung apps. Can they be easily removed or at least completely hidden?

Also the double tape to wake screen works nicely with Samsung. One of many android features that are missing from Fire HD's simmered down android OS.

I got the Lenovo M10 Plus tablet for similar use case. Working great and best thing was that I didn't have to do anything else to get the android play store.

Can't speak for the P11 but I recently bought an M10 Plus for $150 and was wondering if I should return it for this. Nope - the M10 has a faster processor, and has equal or better specs in every other category, along with better reviews.

I got the Yoga Tab last week from Best Buy for my 8 year olds birthday gift for $200.

It's a great tablet and nice 2k screen. I came to this thread to see if someone knows the comparison. It's still in the return window for another few days, so if the Samsung is that good then I'm going to have to rethink.

I already setup the Lenovo tablet, so the only thing is lose is the time to re setup the Samsung.

I've had the Fire HD before and didn't like it. It was for my kid. I got a Samsung S3 tab within a few months and the experience was way better. It was faster and easier to setup/operate.
I just got a Lenovo Yoga 11 tablet and like that as will. Didn't consider the Fire HD even though I know it will be on a huge discount in another 2 weeks, during prime day.
