The Galaxy A8 is the better choice. I will be returning the Fire HD10. The operating system for the HD10, does not work for me. No picture in picture for Youtube.
I was going to comment this... FINALLY, there are tablets that are about the same price of the Fire tablets WHICH SUCK due to....
Fire sucks...
1. Bloatware it's INSANE
2. Adds it's BAD
3. runs Android 9 in the back ground, therefore no picture in picture mode streaming services.
Unless you are in love with or have heavily invested in the Amazon eco system, I would say stay away from Fire Tablets (since XDA Amazon Tool Box no longer works).
About Samsung, there is not much good I can say. Samsung still has a bunch of bloatware (nothing like a Fire tablet) for my liking. But they are one of the leaders in the tablet world and you are getting updates and it does run Android 12... this is why you should buy this tablet.
The real question is this tablet or a Lenovo tablet cause that seems to be the only real choices. I would say that updates will be better on Samsung. But I think there may be less bloatware with Lenovo (not positive).
The only tablet I know that had no bloat (or almost none) is when XDA Amazon Tool Box was working and google tablets that have not been made for many years and have always sold for a stupid premium.

no picture in picture due to Fire Tablets are running Android 9 where this feature was not available.
But yes, unless you are into the Amazon eco system... fire tablets are a thing of the past.
p.s.
If you are into the fire OS, I do feel sorry for you.

The A8 has an absolutely horrible display; colors are super washed out and bland.
