Man, you're gonna regret that once you learn how to pull your own shots, steam your own milk in the comfort of your home. Then you'll regret ever paying for starbucks.

Warning: barriers to entry is quite steep and requires deep knowledge about beans, machine selection, grinder selection, and finally barista skill-set.
While I love my at-home espresso setup, that sort of thing is for a whole different type of consumer. The vast majority of people will be much better off with a basic grinder (even a blade grinder will be fine), a french press, and fresh, whole coffee beans.

Where was this info found? I dont see it in my app yet…

On the Starbucks website, I see the offer with a button labeled Join Now. This link is asking for the user to join Starbucks rewards. I am already a member. I log in to my Starbucks account and the offer disappears. No sign of the offer in the app either.
they're starting to push out the promo to the phone apps today. As the promo in the app states:
"Find your coupon in the "offers" tab of your app. Apply it when ordering ahead, or ask your barista to apply it at the register. See you soon"

goes without saying, even though it's currently in the app, the offer is not active unless it's a Tuesday

I'm not rich and buy almost everyday…Starbucks taste better then any chain coffee shop out there.
ah one of the indoctrinated - almost literally drinking the kool aid.

If that coffee is $5 a day thats $30 a week (lets take one day a week off) thats $6240 in a year.

Shit really adds up, i make $80k a year and no way in hell am i waiting in line (there is ALWAYS a line for SB in my area) to pay a premium for SB coffee.

To you its great. To me its sub-par. Dunkin and McDonalds tastes better IMO at a much lower price (for McDonalds anyways). I guess i just don't have a sophisticated SB palate

Kinda staggering seeing those arguing over which coffee is better. These arguments are no different from the coke vs Pepsi arguments.

Why are we being tribal over something so insignificant? If this deal isn't for you, then STFU and move on...

Just get hired as a barista part time in your spare time for a month, acquire knowledge and then utilize daily for the rest of your life.

Last time I bought rich ppl coffee was during 50% off. Probably 3 or 4 years ago. I only buy during 50%. Still got gift cards stacked up from Groupon in the past. I dont know how the rich ppl buy Starbucks everyday.
Calling it rich people coffee is a stretch...

At least in my city Starbucks is the mid-tier option.

An actual cafe will charge a lot more than Starbucks, but I'll probably enjoy it more than Starbucks.

Sometimes Starbucks is what you want, sometimes you want the cheapest you can get, sometimes you want to splurge and get an oatmilk dirty vanilla chai for $9.

Just drink what you like. I also make coffee at home so it's not a crazy expense for me.

Peet's coffee is SO much better. Heck Dunkin' is even better. Starbucks is overpriced burnt coffee. It's good if you get a 'crafted' drink such as a latte or cappuccino as it offsets the burnt taste but I prefer Dunkin' for taste, price and their far more generous rewards. Also, why not brew at home? You're wasting so much money buying it everyday. You can learn to make it whatever you get for fraction of the cost. Even if you buy a fancy machine it will pay for itself.

I have a setup at home...but I have yet to pull a single good-tasting shot. I like coffee, and I like espresso-based drinks, but the few places I have tried straight espressos from were all extremely sour, which makes me think they were not pulled correctly. Same with my home pulls. I think I just need James Hoffman to come do some pulls for me. But the margin for error with pulls seems to be pretty small, so I agree that most people aren't going to sit there for hours pulling shot after shot and wasting coffee beans to dial in a setup.

With that being the case...when I feel like getting a coffee (not very frequently), I tend to just grab one from Starbucks. The Dunkin's I have had have all been way worse than anything I have had from Starbucks. Neither was anywhere near as good as the coffees I have had from Baltimore Coffee & Tea Co. though (both regular coffees and espresso-based drinks).

If your palate is sophisticated as your math skills than you shouldn't be drinking Starbucks.

If this includes Nitro cold brews I'm gonna be sooo happy
the kid in me loves Nitro cold brew

the slickdealer in me loves a venti cold brew, no/low ice, 50% off brings it down to like $2.50 and you get a LOT of coffee for a cheap price. No sugar or milk so its just pure caffeine goodness (the expensive part!). Whereas nitro cold brews max out I think at grande size for the same price. I take that venti home and split it into 2-3 cups of coffee over a day or two, adding my own ice.

Its a slickdealers dilemma, more coffee without bubbles or less coffee with bubbles
