The biggest and main advantage with LiFePO4 when compared to Lion is charge cycles but the capacity on this is so humongous that the average user will probabaly charge it less than once a week, probaby less than that but to be safe we will go with that number. So lets say 50 times a year and the average LiOn can be charged 500 times at the very low end, a lot will easily do 1500 or even 2000. A little math and that gives the end user a 10 year ifespan but probably even closer to 20 to 30 years to most non-diedhard users. Dont forget thats only to 80% capacity, the battery will function just fine after 500 cycles just less capacity, but again, on this model the capacity is so big than 80% of it is originall is still gobs of power. This product to an average user should give 15 plusyears at the low end but probable 20 to 30 years of use for the average user. Also the one thing than LiFePO4 doesn't beat LiIon is energy density which is the main reason why the E-bike world still uses Li-ion. You get the same energy with less weight wit Li-ion and thats something that needs to be considered when talking bout a portable piece of equipment, which this item is its main focus actually. This product would be much smaller and lighter if using IOION and its getting veryclose to not being able to call it 'portable' anymore. A small person will not like hauling this mammoth is it used LiFpo4. So The main point of what Im saying is Ilion is to not be confused about LiFePO4 as inferior to LiFePO4 because its not, its jut different with its own pros and cons. Anothert big pro to LiFePO4 is its safer than lion and it is but in todays world, all these products have the neccessary safefty features on them that ppl that you can leave that out of the reasons you should base buying one of these units on. by the way I own a pecron 1500s which is a basically 1400Amp Hrs and is tiny. the size of a large 2 slice toaster. It also has1500 charge cycles till 80% capacity. i use it so much I love it. I probably wouldnt love it so much tho if it was bigger or heavier.. Hmmm
Bottom line is wheither this unit was liIon or iLiFePO4, it doesnt matter much when considering all the pros and cons and what the normal user needs out of it. There nothing wrong with LiIon and its not an inferior chemistry, its just a different chemistry. Both of these chemistrys already last so long than there will be a bettery chemistry than both of these before either type of these are considered non-useable anyways. LOL
How do you get this repaired after it breaks. Mine broke 3 months after buying it and Walmart said to contact the seller that is no longer around, probly changed there name. 400 dollar paper weight. Mine no longer holds a charge
For the average user, I think Lifepo4 is worth it simply because you can charge it up to 100% and leave it alone for months (ie in emergency) without worrying about degradation. WIth NCA,etc you need to make sure to charge up to only 80-90% and Lifepo4 is also less of a fire hazard.
It certainly does not have a 3.7V battery but at least three cells in series or more. But the manufacturers of bigger power stations or the jump starters for cars often times give the 3.7V (single cell) equivalent so that people can compare it to normal power banks.
Most buyers are probably more familiar with something like a 10,000mAh power bank than with a rating in Wh.
Yes what you are saying not so.mart buyers fall.for.this think they are getting a 300ah battery but it is in series to work at around 12vs so.its around 90 actuall amp hours , just china hoping Americans are not that smart

What is your proof they are lying? Do you own one. The official manual restates that it is 3.7V, 300Ah.

But there are 3.7v cells is series to make 12v battery , no way this works at 3.7 volts , inverters don't work at 3.7volts , solar charge controllers don't work at 3.7 volts, so the battery pack in this is 1100 watt hours at 12volts more like 14volts someone less amp hours , look at a 12v 100ah batter and a 24v 100.ah battery they are the same ah but the 24v one is twice the number of batteries , so yes 3.4volt is 300 ah but you need 4 of them to make a 12volt battery. 12v at 1100 wh is 92 amp hours
you are all correct. this is likely a misunderstanding during translation, because the total # of cells are 3000ah, but at 3.7v as everyone stated, however this is a 12v system, so the cells are 3 in a series to add u voltage, so the capacity is only 33.33%, so yes, it's indeed 91.6ah

i think anyone that knows that they need 300ah vs 91ah will likely will research much more about it, such as peak power and so on, so they will read this and will be aware
i did correct my title though, so thank you everyone from pointing it out
The biggest deal breaker is probably the slow 100W solar input, which means you can't even fully charge it in one whole day under a full sun.
I'm thinking it's cause it has so few reviews and shipped straight from china. To be clear I have no problem with chinese stuff in general, as long as its been used by at least a few hundred people before me.
I could care less about fast solar charging. I am going to be using this to power a campsite that gets no sun anyways, so I will be recharging on the grid.
Good price for the capacity, but I'd pass as well. Mainly for the same reasons posted about lithium ion and cheap unknown Chinese brand. I don't care about those aspects individually, but I wouldn't want a unit of this kind of power with a combination of those aspects. I'd rock a cheaper lithium ion if it was from a known decent brand like Anker or something, or a no name lifepo4, but not something like this.

To reinforce your excellent post, 500 cycles extremely conservative and its not like it falls off a cliff even at 1000. The criticism is nauseating, esp at $400 consumer product level.

This is what I was afraid of. Nice price for the size but not worth the chance of this happening.

Yes, lithium ion chemistry is more dense than lifepo4, but not significantly so. Plus, lifepo4 chemistry is much safer since it will not catch fire like lithium ion in case of thermal runaway. I agree with you regarding charge cycles though. Most users will discharge/charge these less than 50 times a year. For the price, this is a steal if it lasts.
