If you have an example, I'd be curious to check it out. I specifically went through the higher end electronics and Dewalt tools. I calculated the coupon savings then priced the output against Google using national retailers for comparison. In each case, the national retailer was substantially lower than the pre-coupon eBay price and comparable to the post coupon price.

Yup. This is like the "deal" they had a few weeks ago where the Xbox Series X was 15% off… of the perfectly inflated price from which a 15% reduction would just get it back to the $500 list price.

Incorrect. Whether or not they are selling on eBay is irrelevant to the warranty contract. So long as the item is being sold as new and from and authorized retailer / reseller the warranty applies regardless of the marketplace an item is sold. A good example of this is EVGA and Ant Online. Both companies sell a ton on eBay. You can go register your EVGA video card with an eBay receipt and get the full warranty no problem.

I'm not really sure what you are getting at, the vast majority of online sales happen on a marketplace ( a 3rd party as you say). A marketplace only gets involved insofar as facilitating sales or in the case of Amazon shipment and sales. At no point is it relevant to the warranty of product. The seller and item condition at the time of sale is so it makes sense that those would be factors that are considered for warranty.

If any manufacturer did decide to restrict warranty to a certain marketplace it would be arbitrary and capricious. A warranty is given by a manufacturer to guarantee the workmanship of a product.

You are absolutely right. I was looking for a watch, the only watches that work with this coupon are the ones who are already price adjusted. Even for the items from the same seller without price adjustment, the coupon does not work. Ebay coupon are more like scams

Yes, obviously fees are also clear. My point is: Does the seller get 100% (minus sales tax, minus commissions/fees) or only 80% minus fees. It sounds like they're getting 100% so in that case the sales tax remitted by ebay seems accurate.
