Has been posted multiple times in the last few days. YMMV on quality and value, but probably should consider this more advertisement than discovered "deal"

Personally, when I take collagen supplements, I know for 100% certain my hair grows faster and my nails do too. Quality and shine, meh, but they certainly grow faster.

However, I can give you a point to ponder, what you could be arguing if processed form, as this is, of anything is a good idea for the body. Hope this helps
(And your assertion of "regulations" by the corrupt political system telling me what to eat or not is not something I care about, but the science only)

So, no, I do not think I am otherwise short on nutrition.
Any long term side effect using these?

none regulated - anyone who knows nothing about anything, can package anything and put anything on the label for you to buy, supplements do not have to show you everything that is inside, so you have no idea 100% what is inside, and how this stuff is going to react with your system or other stuff you ingest. and we are not taking about the supplement not providing any benefit, we are talking about the supplement doing harm to your body.

but i do find it ironic that you would bring up corruption, you should take a look at how much $ the supplement industry spends on lobbying. guess again, they are not lobbying to provide more research or transparency . . .

I can't speak for muscles/joints specifically as i'm taking other supplement for that as well but it has definitely had an affect on my skin quality and appearance (more than just moisturizing alone has) and my hair quality.
the biggest detriment to collagen is making sure you take the right kinds and to see an effect you have to take a fairly decent amount. i think my tablet supplement is 8 grams a day which translates to like 8 large tablets.
also for your stuff look into msm/glucosamine/chondroitin. they have a good bit of science behind them and i've been using them for years and have not seen any degradation whatsoever, anecdotal, but worth mentioning.
Whey protein is notably high in the branched chain amino acids used for muscle protein synthesis (valine, leucine, and isoleucine), while collagen is high in amino acids used to create structure (proline, hydroxyproline, and lysine).
I think we can all agree all proteins are not the same and do not have the same impact on your body due to their differing amino acid profiles.
