Specs honestly aren't great. If someone is really considering this, they should at the very least go with the $180 4K model.

I'd suggest doing some research though, as both displays don't mention their response time, and only offer a 60Hz display. For PC gaming I would recommend 100Hz or more.

32" is a bit big for 1080p when you're sitting that close to it. Text can be a bit of an eye strain. Anything 27" and up, you're better off with 1440p, preferably 90hz or higher for gaming.

I bought this Samsung 32 inch which was 1080 in the last deal from Gamestop for $150. It was just awful as a monitor, text and pictures were too grainy. Returned.

Depends how old you are.....if past 40 or 50, the bigger the better in terms of reading text and the lower the resolution the better. For myself, in my early 50's 1080P is great and sometimes I lower it to 720P.......I have a 32 inch curved 1080P Samsung monitor with speakers. For eye strain, it is best to use glasses that filter out the blue light or blue light filter eyeglasses.

It will have the same issues. If you plan to use this as a typical monitor from a couple feet away, there's just no getting around the low pixel density. It's better to think of this as a small TV with no built in tuner. 1080p is plenty for that use at this size.

The monitor in your link says it's 1440p not 1080. I'm confused by this comment. Is the monitor you linked not actually 1440p? Otherwise I wouldn't think that would be an "apples to apples" comparison to the 1080p monitor in this thread.

I am sorry. You are correct. That was 1440p and even with that the text and even pictures were too grainy to be noticed when looking at such short distance as using this as computer monitor. I would think it needs higher resolution for 32 inch or larger monitors.

I had to return it.
