also, since it confused me too, the driver shows a battery installed and 2 loose, but this set only comes with 2 batteries (the flexiclick set on its own is a 2 battery set, as well, but only shows 1 loose with 1 installed, likely where they took the image from).
also FYI, this multi tool is starlock only, no quick release. and adapter is required to use it with OIS blades
Thanks!
I do wish Bosch would drop the proprietary starlock and x-lock nonsense. The cost and lack of available options are definitely not worth the minor convenience the system brings.
Still 149 here, but your comment made my heart sink while I mulled it over, so I pulled the trigger 😅
Worst case I return, or flip the multi tool, still a great price for the flexi

Weird, I saw your comment and looked again. Now that it's expired it's $149. Lol.
We also own the Milwaukee M12 installation driver and the Dewalt 12V 5-in-1 driver. They each have their pros and cons.
Bosch: very high build quality, clutch settings seem more linear, excellent fine control of trigger button, and big grip (could be good or bad). No negatives really. It feels like a high-quality tool.
Milwaukee: also very high build quality, clutch settings are almost as good as the Bosch, and big grip (again, good or bad), but I hate the forward/reverse switch at the top and the bulkiness of the tool. The bit holder doesn't work well with small bits.
Dewalt: probably the best ergonomics, but the clutch is not as linear and the build quality doesn't seem as high. I do like that because the battery is on the bottom, the tool can be placed in a standing position... which also means it can be knocked over and cause damage to whatever it falls on.
If I had to own just one, I think it would be the Bosch.
As far as the complaints about starlock blades. Yes, they are more unique, but in my book they are fantastic. I have bought some packs during a Bosch Amazon sale. My tool has the older hex bolt, so not quick change; and I rarely have to change the blade. They're sharp and durable. The hardwood blade is downright lethal, almost had to go the dorctor one time, just brushing my fingers accidentally against the resting tool. Curvetec bosch blades are head and shoulders above all the cheap overpriced stamped crap you find at the big box stores. Some of that basic stuff is dull in the package. Note, I try to stay clear of nails and rarely ever try to cut metal.
PS: Starlock blades do work on other tools. I use both starlock and ridgid blades on my 18v Ridgid for more intense remodeling / demo, and where compactnes is not needed as much.

Legit starlock blades sold under the Bosch brand have been great for me so far, but yeah, they're more expensive, especially if you buy them at full price. I only buy them if they're on a really good sale. For someone whose business depends on consistent access to a good price on blades, it might not be the ideal choice.
