If you're on the fence about getting one of these, do it. They are so much more convenient than lugging around a 20 lb tank or (4) 1 lb. tanks that are now like $6/ea.

Yes, you can refill 1 lb. canisters. Yes you can do it safely if you're not a moron. Yes it's pretty cheap. Yes I've done it. Yes you'll probably never blow yourself up or get in trouble if you get caught doing it. The 5 pounders are just waaaaay easier to deal with.

I use my 5 lb. for my Weber Q1200 grill and Blackstone Griddle when camping, a harbor freight torch for killing weeds in the yard, my Buddy Heater in the winter when I'm ice fishing.

The whole point is this tanks specialized size, you don't need a 20lb tank for camping grills, for example.

This would be a perfect pairing for something like a Mr buddy heater too, thing blows through 1lb tanks like nothing, but a 20lb is cumbersome.

Seems crazy to spend more for a smaller tank. $39.99 gets you four times the capacity.

Also, keep in mind that you'll never get a full tank on a refill. They always leave room to avoid an accident. That makes this more like a 3 lb tank.

Just food for thought. Do you.

Bought this almost 1 year ago at the same price because it was on sale. It's much more convenient than those throw away green can and over time will save money. I just ordered a second.

Would love to hear more on your process for killing weeds. Will this work on ivy? I'd love to do this but would like not to burn our yard, fence, and neighbor's yard down lol

We go camping/winter sports year around and this is perfect for our tents. Use these with our Mr Heater.
It's dangerous to use inside a tent, how do you supply fresh air inside? How do you monitor, carbon dioxide level, oxygen level, and carbon monoxide level?

This is a good torch. Leave it on low. Hit the turbo button when you want to burn the weeds. You just need to scorch the weeds, not fully torch the weeds. Don't hit the tube, the tank, your legs, or your clothes. Don't set your yard on fire.

Some people should not use this. If you're one of those people, you likely will not recognize it anyway, LOL. 😁

does costco also fill /refill them with gas in store ? Or you have to go to home depot type of place ?
Some Costcos have propane filling stations. Only one around me though. That's within a four hour radius.

I've picked up two 20# at ~$25. Only one I can find is Sams Club for $26, free shipping w/ plus from a couple years ago.
I just picked up a couple of the 20# tanks at my local Costco for $30. Not sure if it's just a local sale or nationwide.

Costco does have propane, they refill your tank so you only pay for the gas you use (unlike tank swap places) and the price is pretty reasonable.

Is it possible to fill this with CO2 needed for things like SodaStream/DrinkMate?
