FYI Target.com will once again offer 5% off of Target gift cards. Limit is $500. The press release says that the Target Circle offer to get this deal will be valid online only: https://corporate.target.com/pres...s-with-Sav
RedCard holders normally save 5% on purchases, but that discount doesn't apply to Target gift cards. Therefore this deal might be beneficial to some shoppers because they can stack it with other credit card cashback/offers.
Happy shopping!

Basically, pay $450 for a $500 gift card, and you get 1% back in Circle cash when you spend the gift card. So, another $4.50 back if you spend the whole $450 on the card. Basically making it $445.50 for a $500 gift card. If you were to purchase something for $500 with your Red Card, you would hypothetically get the $50 off, but you wouldn't get the extra Circle cash back, and I have found sometimes that even though the red card is supposed to be 5% off your purchase, it ends up being more like 4.95% off. I bought a $100 gift card a few months ago, and when I went to pay with my Red Card, it only wanted to give me $4 off, instead of the $5 off it was supposed to be.
That would be 10% off. For 5% off it's really not worth the forward spend IMO

What you are describing is if it's 10 percent off. This is just 5 percent off. Why would you want your money tied up in target gift cards to save 5 percent? You can get that (or more) cash back on many credit cards on a regular basis...(including the target credit card itself). no wonder their stock is struggling, company is run by idiots
