Helpful tip- If you are new to Tracfone be sure to sign up for the Tracfone rewards! You find a valid referral code to sign up for a nice bonus . If you use a top tier code you will maximize the bonus and get 8,000 rewards points ($80 value) in your account. This can be used to buy air time, get phone discounts or add extra data for $10/GB, or minutes, etc.
Activate the phone first, then sign up for rewards with a valid promo code.

Use a top tier one that will get you 8,000 rewards points ($80 value) when you sign up. Most only will get you 5,000 ($50 value)

All I care is my son can call me when he needs and vice versa. What I don't want is my son would use it for playing video games, chat with friends unnecessarily or watch YouTube. What do you propose?

Wiki doesn't mention if it supports VoLTE, which is now required for Tracfone: https://www.tracfone.com/support/network-changes

And as I understand it, no, this isn't just the same as supporting 4G/LTE. Phone needs to also support VoLTE protocol for calls, and more specifically whatever protocol Tracfone will be using.

I am considering this phone for my 7th grader son. Wonder if the total talk time of 1200 mins expires after certain period before talk time runs out?
Thanks

The 1200 minutes does not have a separate expiration date. They will work for the full year (or longer if you add more service time). But if you use all 1200 minutes in 6 months, you will need to add minutes to keep making calls. You can redeem reward points for additional minutes.

SIM swapping is frown upon by TF. SIM cards are married to the TF-branded device they came with. You may have to talk to customer service to make sure that the SIM card would continue to work in a different device.
When I swapped my Tracfone service to my new handset, I needed to buy a new Tracfone SIM. Called Tracfone. Told them that my Tracfone handset was broken. Need to transfer Tracfond service to a different handset. Told me my new SIM number and my new smartphone IMEI. After 10 min on the phone, done.

Yes, current device is TF phone/SIM with the number you are using.

You are essentially re-activating your current device in step 5 since it was automatically de-activated in step 3.
I'm still not sure if step 5 is necessary. The reason is a few months ago, I dropped my TracFone (it's unlocked to any carriers) and cracked the glass. I simple took out the SIM card and put it into another unlocked phone I had. The phone worked immediately, I didn't have to do anything else.
I suspect if you have an unlocked device you can probably skip step 5, just swap the SIM card.

I just found out that this flip phone has VoLTE according to its Nokia web site specs: https://www.nokia.com/phones/en_u...KN139DCGBB

This means the phone will function as long as LTE is in service (for at least 10 years more).

What's your point? Not all Tracfones will support the new network changes, if that's what you're getting at. I wouldn't even trust Tracfone.com to have stopped selling older phones that don't support the network changes, let alone HSN.

It looks like it probably does (see guting reply directly above): https://www.nokia.com/phones/en_u...KN139DCGBB

It would still be nice to have a confirmation from someone using the Tracfone tool to check as, like I said, not all VoLTE is the same.

Repped, great deal! Thanks OP!

Flip phones are not so common nowadays, but there is definitely still a market for this type of product. Smilie

Can anyone who owns this Tracfone version of the Nokia 2760 tell me if Chinese language is supported? Thank you.
There is a review on YouTube: "Nokia 2760 Flip phone Tracfone from Walmart Review and Test." It shows only English and Spanish.

I only tested the process with TF phones with VZW service. The Nokia 2760 Flip (N139DL), like all new/reconditioned TF-branded phones, comes with a VZW SIM card so I cannot vouch that the harvesting process would work with TMO service

Nice deal for me considering these:
1. Comes with USB Type-C car charger in addition to wall charger.
2. You get at least $50 in Tracfone rewards points (if you sign up right after activation) to buy additional data/min/texts and service months. You can find a referral link online.
3. HSN listing site has a sales video (at 55 seconds) that says triple minutes for refills for life. It would be very nice if it is true. Note that if SIM is changed, no more triple minutes for sure.
4. Nice to have a Verizon phone backup in my car for travel to compliment my main T-Mobile MVNO phone in case of service coverage gap.
