It should be as Windows 11 forces all vendors to implement USB4 PCIe mode which can support thunderbolt accessories without official thunderbolt certifications.

ETA Prime on YouTube just had a video posted today on this exact model running an external GPU enclosure, it works perfectly.

The AMD 6000u chips are made on a newer node vs the 5000u chips. So not only more performance but also more battery life.

My little one has a 4000u AMD based laptop. I might upgrade him to the 6000u next.

It does seem the previous gens had lots of complaints regarding fan noise. But I can’t find any reports or reviews on the gen4 that talk about it.

Guess I’ll have to order it and find out for myself.

Yes, single type C can drive two 4K monitors with proper hub. The USB4 PORT can drive up to 4x4K monitors at 60hz, same as thunderbolt.

No, it doesn't have extra slots for SSD.

Just wanted to update. After turning off Fast Start mine no longer dies in hibernation. It only lost 2% battery after a full day hibernating so I'm happy again.
Big pimpin'!

The igpu is so good on these Ryzens. Performance is impressive for and igpu. Almost 1050 (laptop) performance.

God of War and Cyberpunk 2077 playable at 1080p 30fps+

The most powerful Integrated Graphics right now. Google or check YouTube and you'll get plenty of reviews, Gameplay videos and comparisons.

Damn! If I had known THIS was coming I would have skipped the Dell 5310 deal. Now I'm torn. I'm greatly enjoying the screen and keyboard on the Thinkpad E15 Gen4 from a few days ago. But it's still in the return window and this deal here is spectacular.

Excellent screen, great cpu, faster than **** memory, the ideal storage for my needs. What to do, what to do……

I now have 3 non touch screens and 1 touch screen and I find I don't miss it a bit. I thought I would, but nope.

I just went on notebookcheck and put it up against the Acer Swift X 14 (5800U + 3050 Ti) FP Deal I recently picked up. IIRC Vega 8: 100%, 680M: 190%, 3050 Ti: 370%. I also have the Thinkbook 13s G2 ARE (4800U, 16GB, 2560x1600) that I'm selling now that I have the Acer. I'd keep the Thinkbook if the GPUs were similar and the high res screen wasn't causing my 1080p PCs to rearrange everything when I remote into them. The Acer games soo much better and has two 2280 slots, but the Thinkbook is lighter, has better speakers, slightly better keyboard, better touchpad, better screen, single 2242 slot, and looks and feels more premium. The Acer is really nice but Lenovo nails what a small notebook should be.

Rtx 3050 is way more powerful than any integrated GPU,even the most powerful 680M in this one. So, gaming or any applications which can take advantage of the GPU acceleration, Swift X with its rtx 3050 ti will always perform better.

Awesome deal. I dont think you can find a better deal at this price. Ticks all boxes. But its not a gaming laptop. There are laptops available with dGPU at this price point as well. I would go for that when it comes to gaming. But for a productivity laptop this should be the best buy at this price.
