But, how about performance?
About 2x the graphics performance over 1260p and faster multi-threaded performance.

I also planned on getting one of these solely for programming. Currently on I am on an m1 air which is actually pretty fast. Wondering how this thing compares?
I too use M1 MBA as my primary! Here is a quick comparison for you:

keyboard = close, but MBA wins
trackpad = MBA
screen = MBA
steam = Thinkbook
Win 11 + WLS2 = Thinkbook
Ports = Thinkbook
Ram for VMs = Thinkbook

Both the M1 MBA and this thinkbook together cost less than a 14" MBP so , this is a WIN as far as programming is concerned.

Thank you! I really appreciate the mini comparison.

Perhaps you might know the answer to this one. But I am wondering which compiles faster for .NET/C# Visual Studio 2022 preview (ARM) version for Mac. Or 2022 for windows with these 2 devices?

Just wanted to update. After turning off Fast Start mine no longer dies in hibernation. It only lost 2% battery after a full day hibernating so I'm happy again.

Looks to be dead?

As mentioned, "Instead of using BFIJTHINKOFFER, use BTS2022 now."

Price with "SUPERTHINKJULY" and "BTS2022" for me is $1,011.85
I see it for $866 in cart with those two coupons applied still.

Was able to use the two coupons (BTS2022, SUPERTHINKJULY), student discount, and took advantage of the Florida sales tax holiday to get this for $803 shipped.

With BTS2022 and THINKJULY total is around $1,011. Are you using these coupons or something else?

Not a big deal to most, but I could not get Ubuntu 22.04/pop_os 22.04 running stable on this, even with absolute latest kernel.

So fan noise is there but only during bios update that was waiting in the Lenovo vantage app. And anytime I'm in bios settings the fan runs. I'm also having trouble finding if the tuv blue light thing is hardware or software. The think pad E15 I bought a few days ago is a software solution. The Dell Inspiron 5310 is hardware.

So right now I have my Dell 5310, hp envy 13ba1093, this thinkbook, and the E15 thinkpad testing boot up speeds. And the hp envy destroys everything in boot up time. I went through all of them to make sure none of them were cheating with fast boot or fast startup. The envy boots first, then the E15, then the Dell, and this thinkbook lags behind all of them!
How the heck can the laptop with the fastest chip and 6800 (think pad has 5600, dell has 12th gen intel and envy has 11th gen all have 16gb ram with the hp having the slowest) be the slowest to boot?? Lord lol I am disappointed and my gf with her hp is gloating.

Anyway I'm keeping it. The Lenovo keyboard feels so much better than the dell. The whole thing feels better.

Anyway just thought I would update you guys. The screen looks good, fan noise is low or off during normal use. You can charge thru either c port even tho only the back one shows a power plug icon.
This is a bit disappointing. I bought for my wife and her main concern is boot up time. Do you know how long it took? Thanks

Did anyone's order ship already? Website shows my expected ship date as August 31st but if you order a new one, it shows it would ship August 1st.

If I remember correctly, it was showing as "Ships in 2-4 days" when I was placing my order.

Out of sheer curiosity, why such importance placed on boot time?

Are you constantly shutting down your laptops vs allowing them to just go to sleep? Even resume from hibernate should be quicker than a cold boot, right?

Maybe I'm spoiled by Macs and Chromebooks, I almost never shut my machines down outright.
