But this is Intel. I wouldn't change from the latest gen AMD to Intel.

I just went on notebookcheck and put it up against the Acer Swift X 14 (5800U + 3050 Ti) FP Deal I recently picked up. IIRC Vega 8: 100%, 680M: 190%, 3050 Ti: 370%. I also have the Thinkbook 13s G2 ARE (4800U, 16GB, 2560x1600) that I'm selling now that I have the Acer. I'd keep the Thinkbook if the GPUs were similar and the high res screen wasn't causing my 1080p PCs to rearrange everything when I remote into them. The Acer games soo much better and has two 2280 slots, but the Thinkbook is lighter, has better speakers, slightly better keyboard, better touchpad, better screen, single 2242 slot, and looks and feels more premium. The Acer is really nice but Lenovo nails what a small notebook should be.
Great comparison thanks! Peace

For those having an issue with the computer not waking up, I think I've discovered the fix. Doesn't make sense, but I got the tip from Windows Support. I think it was them not Lenovo...

You need to disable "Turn on fast startup". See attached screenshot.

I have NO idea why a recommended setting in the OS would cause such a basic function that has worked for YEARS to not work properly. Sounds like a huge bug to me.

I ordered this monday $715 (IDK how as I used the same coupons listed in this post - I did signup for lenovo perhaps that added some savings) , $758 after tax. It was delivered in 2 days - I selected normal shipping.

Seems decent so far. The track pad has quite pronounced click and varies on force required (more force req'd the further you click away from the leading edge of the laptop). Quite annoying until i discovered you can simply do a light tap on the trackpad and a click will be registered instead of having to do an actual physical click.

Win 11 Pro,16 gb, 16:10, RDNA2, and the price were my deciding factors. I am planning on using mostly for programming and some light steam games (boomer shooters, and puzzle games mostly). WSL2 + VSC + Win11 ftw!

I was looking at the X13, however Lenovo sales and tech support could not tell me what the max sustained TDP that the cooling allowed. The Thinkbook 13s gen 4 can run 28W sustained per ETA Prime's video with two fans. The x13 has one larger fan. Could you please run Core Temp with Cinebench and see what the X13 can do?
Will let you know once it gets here!

Basically said shoprunner said it's 2 day shipping it's been two days. And i was like can we upgrade to expedite since it's taking too long and the guy was like what if we sent you a diff model and he kept shooting me lower models and i showed him that x13 since the entry one had suckier cpu and gpu he budged and offered the price to me since i told him needed a laptop for work asap. Boom ordered lol.

Nice job man. I was contemplating getting this but bit the bullet on the hp elitebook for $550 yesterday. I'd jump on this price for an x13 if given the opportunity.
550 is a great price point for the elite book tho!

So I fully charged the laptop last night and closed the lid and put it into hibernate mode. This morning when I left for work I unplugged it and then left. Just now I couldn't get it to turn on. I thought it was the wake up bug but I couldn't get it to work at all finally plugged ac in and it started up. Turned out battery was completely dead. In 15 hours the battery went from 100 to 0 while hibernating. Anyone else with this laptop having this issue? Last thing I installed was Bluestacks.

Is it worth getting extra warranty and damage insurance?

I also planned on getting one of these solely for programming. Currently on I am on an m1 air which is actually pretty fast. Wondering how this thing compares?

This version or with Intel i5 1240p?
Intel Alder Lake is worse for battery life and integrated graphics. Look up reviews on YouTube.
