I have had this for a few years - some of the points are probably similar to what others have mentioned on this thread

cons

- this runs hotter than the dial claims
- not a set it and forget it air fryer. Even after two years, I don't air fry anything without constantly checking on it.
- Not as efficient of an air fryer as a dedicated plastic one - but it does the job just fine for me.
- included accessories are a pain in the ass to clean.

pros

- interior volume , you can make way more food at a time and it will cook better as you can keep things in a single layer.
- toaster/air fryer functionality. I always grew up with toaster ovens. I can't imagine living without one. I'd rather have a slightly worse air fryer that can do both.
- design looks a lot better than a giant plastic air fryer - and will probably last longer.
- never had a single issue fitting an entire frozen pizza in here, cooks way faster, easier, and cooler than using an oven.

Sucks that its up to $130 as a deal, but I guess thats everything these days. I got this for around $100 a couple years back and would recommend it to anyone who cares to put a little bit of work in to make the best food you can out of an oven/air fryer. If you want to set it and forget it, you're gonna hate this, dont get it.

Have this and on second unit. used daily until first one died. They (cuisinart) replaced it immediately. Works well but gets hot.

I can also agree with your comments, I've have this about 2 or so years now as well.
YES, it does run a bit hotter than the dial, I'm also always constantly checking unless it's on a lower setting.
not sure about the other plastic ones, I've only had this one
the accessories are hard to clean, I suggest using foil paper as much as possible.

YES, it's pretty big, so if you are looking for something that won't take up to much space, keep moving.
YES, great as a toaster oven, large and can toast lots of pieces at once.
YES, the look is much more classier (IMO) than a black plastic piece of equipment.

I think I got it for the same price, maybe 120, but I used Amazon Prime reward points so it was almost free.

For all it's shortcomings, it's still great. Front-loading air fryers are a much better design than the pull out baskets.
It's true that the temp is wildly inaccurate, but we got the hang of it pretty quickly.
Make sure you put the tray in the lower position for air frying.
The function knob on ours broke a few weeks ago (after 2.5 years of daily use), and Cuisinart warranty service was really good.
I believe the air fryer tray is to be in Position 2 for air frying. Position 1 (very bottom) is for baking per the manual.

You are correct per the manual. After reading lots of reviews I chose to throw out the manual and keep the tray on the bottom. I suggest people try this method and see for themselves.

I would HIGHLY recommend NOT buying this. We recently purchased the slightly larger Cuisine Art oven and it's horribly cheap. The primary knob has now started to fail. It's a piece of crap.

Far from the truth although the temps vary and the knob does break on some units , their customer service is top notch and the unit's multi use features make this well worth purchasing , I got mine 3 years ago for $80 they replaced it 6 months ago with Toa-70 same look but had a grilling feature

I have the digital Costco version. My knob started to fail so I called up Cuisenart for a replacement. They accidentally sent this version, which is a step down. Since they had warned me that I would be getting something that was slightly different since my model was no longer in production I wasnt too taken aback at first. Then I plugged it in and started messing with it. IIRC this version is missing 5 or 6 of the cooking programs and doesnt even go to the temperatures necessary to replicate 2 of the programs. The time also cant be set for either greater than an hour or 100 minutes, ICR which. The loss of the proofing setting and short timer functionality was a deal breaker for me. I checked the FB group on line and they verified that I was indeed sent a lesser model. I called Cuisenart, explained what happened and requested the appropriate model number replacement. They apologized for the error and sent the correct model. Only one other person on FB had reported getting the incorrect replacement so I do think it was an honest mistake. Anyway, all this is to say that the digital version is on sale at Costco for $150 so anyone interested in this might want to check out the differences in the two versions and spend the extra $20 to get the digital version.

Unless you find one stupid enough to price match for you without deduct that $100 gift card to come up as Target price.

This thing is AWESOME. I've been using it for two years. I can do it all.
The air frying function is great. Frozen fries and tater tots taste like they've been fresh fried, without using any oil at all. It's fast and I'm able to set it and forget it, despite what some have written.

Just set the temperature lower than what the recipe or instructions ask for.
If the recipe says 400 degrees, set this unit to 350-360 degrees. No problem.

This thing has saved me thousands of dollars over the years of not eating out- LOL

If you have the money, the TOB-260 is one of those "buy once cry once" machines. Much bigger, can bake an entire chicken or pizza in there, has a nice digital display and a bunch of accessories like a pizza stone and multiple trays included, and does a better job air frying than most "air fryers" while still being an extremely effective toaster and convection oven.
