I prefer Midea (Arctic King) over Haier (Insignia) products. They're both run of the mill Chinese appliances with huge market share, just good enough quality control, and garbage support.
I got the Insignia. Be running for a week now in my garage. No problems so far. The compressor runs real smooth . Looks well built and the inside light does make it a good buy. Just my opinion👍

It's all good until something breaks within the "manufacturer warranty" which doesn't really exist. There is zero customer support from these chinese manufacturers.

That's a pretty broad generalization. Do you have evidence of this besides an anecdote? I've had good warranty support from Chinese brands.

It may be from a Chinese manufacturer but Insignia (Best Buy) would be the one to honor the warranty.

Yes my anecdotal claims, plus the thousands you can find on a site called google.

I've ordered and returned two of these now from Walmart. Both of them had dings and a cut. Definitely poor packing and delivery. Either that or this entire stock is scratch and dent.

I bought the Haier from Walmart and it's been rock solid for over a year. I just wish I had bought a larger one.

They're all just super generic and disposable.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

This is their regular price, not a deal at all and certainly not a front page deal.
Bought this a month ago for $170 + free shipping. That was the deal.
For this price you might as well get the Insignia one from BB with a built in light.

These are garbage freezers with extremely thin gauge metal and shoddy construction. You should expect that the one you get will be dinged up or damaged in shipping. Good luck getting the issue rectified if you receive a damaged item! Hopefully you have a truck for returning it!!!

Any Aldi stores near you? They had deck boxes for a decent price a few weeks ago.
Thanks for the heads up. Still waiting that Aldi is arriving in the Bay Area.

I don't think I realized (didn't) that it had a light inside! Good to know, I'm still contemplating getting that one for now vs getting my damn elderly fridge/freezer repaired or replaced atm.

For the people complaining about dents, I read the comments and unpacked it at the store.

The packaging is thin, but I expected as much.
