You will automatically get the extra 5% with your Amazon CC. It will show up on your monthly statement as reward points.

Yeah, what about the additional 5%? What I meant was, how are people finding out that a specific item has an additional cb over the default 5% cb?

No instant love for me with a 2nd gen trade on mobile (Amazon app). When I got instant in the past I was always using my laptop with chrome desktop browser. Maybe that's why it wasn't instant for me. The sale prices are good for 8 more days it says so I guess I'll mail in my gen 2 and hope the credit appears before the sale is over. Don't know if customer service will honor the trade c
on a purchase if I make today.

My experience is that they don't like to retroactively do anything so I wouldn't count on them honoring the trade after the fact.
