Price:
$60.00 lower (55% savings) than the previous price of $109.99

Features:
  • Includes a Kindle (10th generation), 1 year of Amazon Kids+, a kid-friendly cover, and 2-year worry-free guarantee - up to a $199 value.
  • Kindle Kids is purpose-built for reading (not a toy), with a black & white glare-free display and weeks of battery life. It performs differently than a tablet, because it's geared for reading books – no games, ads or videos means zero distractions.
  • With the included year of Amazon Kids+, kids can explore popular titles and series. After 1 year, your subscription will automatically renew every month starting at just $4.99/month plus applicable tax. You may cancel at any time by visiting the Amazon Parent Dashboard or contacting Customer Service.
  • Amazon Kids+ includes the complete Harry Potter series, and the first book from other popular series such as Artemis Fowl. Parents can purchase additional titles from the Kindle Store.
  • Take the library with you - Kindle Kids holds over a thousand Amazon Kids+ titles and provides weeks of battery life.
  • 2-year worry-free guarantee - If it breaks, return it and we'll replace it for free.
  • Now with Audible - Pair with Bluetooth headphones or speakers to listen to your story.

With this Prime Day Kids deal, you're now a getting: A Free Case, No Ads, 1 Extra year of Warranty and 1 year of Kindle Kids subscription.
You can turn off the kid features, and it is just like a regular 'adult' kindle, but with a free case and extended warranty. Definitely keep it.

Good deal, but 167ppi is kind of rough. It is well worth it, to go to Paperwhite with 300ppi.

Agreed. Always get the paperwhite over the regular. Much easier for the kids to read in bed.

Has the Kids Paperwhite been cheaper than $110? That's what I have now and it's been great.

Other than the cover and software perks, this is just like any other 10th gen kindle? Or is it software locked/limited?

I actually accidently bought this for same price couple weeks ago for myself and wonder if I should keep or exchange for a regular kindle before I open it

Haven't tried this exact bundle, but from what I see on similar Paperwhite deal - these are exact same devices as basic option:

Thanks--travelling a lot this summer and they're great so I don't have to carry tons of books for my 7 year old. He's reading on my 12 year old nook right now.

Edit: Looks like the ppi is higher on the old nook at the same size. Like I know this is a better device, but that's kind of disappointing.

If you have an old Kindle e-reader, Trading it in can bring the price down to $28 plus whatever the value of your trade-in is. YMMV if your account qualifies for the INSTANT trade-in credit.

For example, Amazon will give you a $10 GC for a 2014 7th gen Kindle or $15 for a 2016 8th gen. https://www.amazon.com/b/ref=ti_t...B00ZV9PXP2

I tried to do the trade-in. It did not apply the 20% discount at the time of order.
Did the 20% discount work for you?
Thanks

Yes but my account qualified for the Instant Trade-In credit.

There's an Amazon Hub in Orlando that takes Trade-Ins. https://www.amazon.com/b/ref=s9_a...9187220011
