I paid $5 more for this on a Black Friday sale. It is an excellent deal with the case, ads turned off, and longer, more inclusive warranty.

I turned off the kids options and am using it as a normal paperwhite. Be sure to turn off the auto-renewal for the Kids+ subscription or you'll get an unexpected charge in a year.

Was just about to post this. Great deal! Bought it for myself with the black cover in December. This is the exact same 2021 Kindle 6.8" version that Amazon sells for $139 except this comes with a 2 year warranty, no ads and a very nice case for a lot less money.

Correct. The one I bought off FB is a sealed 2021 paperwhite . Paid roughly the same as this with tax ($115).

This is a good deal and a good device. I bought this on Black Friday for $5 more and I had to wait over a month to receive it. Now it is available immediately. I previously had 2011 versions of Kindle touch and the one with turning buttons. Thought for years there was no need to upgrade since it is e ink and for reading books, which is to replace good ol paper books. It is so fast and clear and I cannot believe how much better experience I have had with it over my old ones.

So frustrating that the 20% off and $25 gift card for a Kindle trade-in isn't available to use upfront. Since I don't know how long this sale will last, even if I immediately pack up my Kindle today for trade-in, the sale might be over by the time I get that coupon and gift card. Then I'd be stuck without my old Kindle and no access to the deal.

edit: According to Engadget, this is a one day only sale, so that at least clears up the mystery. I definitely would not be able to use the trade in coupons and get this sale price.
