great until ecovacs decides to do random upgrades that clear out your maps
have the omni n8+ and wished it had the water feature
however, i am confused by this versions' ability for a waste tank... i dont understand that. when mine mops it just lays down a thin water with a mop that goes over it
so why would the vacuum carry dirty water with it and how would that work? like if it takes the same route each time, wouldn't the end of it be using the dirtiest of waters until it goes back to the station to clean out?

why is it carrying around dirty wateR?
The dirty water tank is in the base unit. After it mops for x minutes, it'll go back to the base, clean the pads, and continue to mop. This one has two spinning mop pads. I spent a lot of time going back and forth between this one and Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. After watching Robot Masters and Vacuum Wars, ended up getting the latter.

Do you still recommend the Roborock s7 MaxVUltra over this Omni X?

I still love my Roborock S7 Max V Ultra. I don't have any real insight into the Ecovacs. However, I think the reviews give a decent indication of which is better so far.
I try to run the Roborock about twice a week (roughly 600 square feet). I empty it about every 4 runs. All in all, I have no complaints. One thing I learned is put a pump of lysol in the dirty tank or it will smell. Also, be realistic with mopping. It will clean day to day messes. For bigger messes like ketchup of spaghetti spills, you might want to look at a Tineco S3 or Bissell Crosswave (we have one as well and use it the days we don't run the robot or the mess is bad).
