Available:About this eBook:
  • An enormous cylindrical object has entered Earth's solar system on a collision course with the sun. A team of astronauts are sent to explore the mysterious craft, which the denizens of the solar system name Rama. What they find is astonishing evidence of a civilization far more advanced than ours. They find an interior stretching over fifty kilometers; a forbidding cylindrical sea; mysterious and inaccessible buildings; and strange machine-animal hybrids, or "biots," that inhabit the ship. But what they don't find is an alien presence. So who—and where—are the Ramans?

One of the few great sci-fi series of books that haven't been exploited yet by Hollywood. One of my top 5 favs.

Actually a movie is being scheduled for this. I came to see if I could use prime shipping credits. Can't. Will just read from the library (been ages).

This book is awesome. I listened to it a while back, and I've been wanting to read the sequels. Unfortunately, they are not available on Audible. Book 3, The Garden of Rama also appears to be $1.99:

It's letting me apply slow shipping promotional credits also, showing as $0.00 for me. Bought.

The last book I bought though, it was weird. I had around $9 in credits, but it only displayed 1.50 in credits on the 'buy with 1 click' button. When I clicked 'buy for others', it correctly reflected my credits. I used the 'buy for others' to buy it, and entered my email address. Added a couple extra clicks to the process, had to go to my email to accept the gift. Never happened before, after a couple dozen book purchases. You might want to check this.

This book is extremely detailed in its depictions. that being said, I still thought it was a bit boring

I read this back in 1973 for Extra credit points for High School literature class -- absolutely great novel -- especially the ending - probably one of the TOP 5 sci-fi books I have ever read to date ...

I didn't remember ever using the "Buy for others" option. That worked. Thanks for the great piece of info

Definitely a great book. Have to disappoint you about Hollywood, though: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0134933/
