Well regarded MB and OK ram. Real nice for a basic 12600K/12700K build or upgrade.

DDR4 Route:
- msi pro z690-a ddr4 mobo = $195
- 32GB DDR4 ram = $80
total = $275

This deal:
- msi pro z690-a ddr5 mobo + 32GB DDR5 ram = $295
total = $295

So you're essentially paying a $20 premium for this deal, to get DDR5 ram.

Depends on what you're trying to do. If it's just for gaming and general use, the 12600k should be plenty. If you're also doing cpu intensive work, then either the 12700k or 12900k, depending on budget and needs.

Edit: sorry didn't read the first part. If you're going for a budget friendly gaming build, especially if you have a microcenter nearby, i recommend either ryzen 5600 or i5 12400 with a cheaper board and ddr4 memory. You don't really need anything more to pair with a 3060. This mobo/ram combo is a decent deal but i wouldn't necessarily label it as budget.

The DDR4 version of this board has some reports of ethernet issues. I have experienced enough ethernet issues that I picked up a pci-e NIC for my board. I still like the board. It has tons of storage expansion potential. Maybe the DDR5 version is better? Just a heads up.

I can't find any consumer boards that use ddr5's ecc but there is ram out there and there are consumer boards that work with the ram and just ignore the ecc part. Kind of interesting.. cause the ram available is consumer grade..

I've had no issues with built-in Ethernet on the ddr4 version.
