Why is eufy selling all these refurb locks are everywhere? I have been seeing similar sales on Newegg. Infact i bought the black for about 121. I got it perfectly boxed pack with even the polythene layer intact (reapplied??) . I thought I got lucky but now dealing with their customer service for replacement due to issue with the lock. After all whoever returned it, returned it for reason I believe. I think these refurb sales only hurt the brand. I recently setup my whole home security around eufy devices from smart locks, flood lights, doorbell cam, indoor cam etc. Wouldn't make me feel good if they keep attempting to offload these apparently defective units

My door has a long hinge.... I think that's what its called. The that long part that goes from the door into the wall and opens and closes when you turn the knob... are there any long hinges I can get that are compatible with this?

Wouldn't make sense to sell knowingly defective units. On what planet is that a sound business model?

I'm confident that they are aware of what their defect rate is. They are churning through / selling refurbs at a discount to recoup their costs.

I say that as someone who is on their 4th eufy smart lock.

To the user who thought their product was new because shrinkwrap had been applied, trust that it's a used product. My warranty replacements were also shrink-wrapped, but they failed soon after installation, which either means refurb or a really poor defect rate.

One of the replacements was a revised model.
