This is the same watch as previous $220 at GameStop with no Pro membership required. To whom have missed previous deal or don't want to sign up for GS Pro (although it's not much). This one is still a great deal with only $30 more.
Besides, as this one doesn't require Pro membership to buy, Bestbuy [bestbuy.com] (currently priced at $499) is able to price match with GS. For those who want to burn some Bestbuy rewards or gift cards, it's a good option to buy at BB and pick up in store at the same day. Gamestop takes very long time to ship, as there're still people complaining their order is not shipped yet in previous $220 threads.

The Fenix 6 is roughly the same dimensions as the VA4, but it weighs almost twice as much and is built like a tank. Almost double the battery life, deeper waterproofing rating, side buttons instead of a touchscreen (less intuitive to use as a casual smartwatch, but much easier to operate with gloves on or underwater), and has some more specialized modes for XC skiing, hiking, etc.
Basically, the VA4 is a viable smartwatch alternative to a Galaxy Watch or WearOS watch from Fossil - but with a better battery and more fitness functions. The Fenix is more for hardcore outdoorsy types.

I love Garmin eco system and I even use Garmin WiFI weight scale.
Fenix series watch are too heavy on the wrist. I have the Garmin 745 and I love it.
I dont use Garmin map. Google Map is better on my phone screen.
- No maps stored on device due to limited memory
- No Wi-Fi
- No music (like because of the lack of WiFi and limited storage capacity). I personally use offline Spotify all the time for my runs -- it's nice to leave your phone at home, disconnect and just focus on the workout. Missing this feature would certainly be a deal breaker for me -- YMMV of course.
And for those who are wondering how this is different from Samsung Galaxy Watch or Fitbit: Garmin trumps Fitbit, Samsung, and Apple watch in 2 key areas:
1. Durability: this thing is built like a tank --- you'd never have to worry about damaging it in anyway.
2. Battery life: I have a Fenix 6 Pro and here's my typical usage to give you an idea of how long this watch last: 1-hour run every other day with GPS on and Spotify streamed from the watch to Bluetooth headphone, then 45-minute swim for the days that I don't run and I could easily go for 10 days on a single charge. I've used my watch continuously for 2 years so the battery life has degraded somewhat and is now down to 6-7 days instead of the initial 10.
If those 2 things are the most important to you, buy a Garmin. However, except for offline Spotify playback. Garmin smartwatch features suck. You can read your notifications and not much else.
If you want an Apple watch alternative for Android, get a Samsung Galaxy Watch.
If you're unsure what you want and are just looking for a starter device to get healthy, get a Fitbit Sense or Versa, which is a good compromise, middle-of-the-ground option.
- The 6S had great battery life, but I assume the larger battery is what made it feel much heavier on my wrist. Like, I could feel it wanting to shift around while biking. This one is even heavier. I will say I have smaller wrists, so that's probably a factor.
- Like the model in this deal, my 6S lacked full maps functionality, which would have been nice on city bike rides for turn-by-turn directions (with vibration notifications). I'm a moderate hiker, so I didn't really miss it there since most of the stuff I do is well-marked.
- The majority of "active" people I know who have tried the Vivoactive series have ended up disliking the touch screen controls. My VA 3 would frequently register presses in the shower, and friends have reported the same during open water swims. Buttons are just easier/more reliable while doing intense physical stuff, especially with wet/sweaty fingers. But if you're looking for more of a consumer smartwatch than a fitness device, it may be fine.
- The performance of my 6S was in line with my FR 645: a little slow, but it got the job done. I assume this one has the same processor/specs. When I got my FR 745, it was noticeably quicker swapping between menus (even with the new animations) and saving activities.
- In my subjective/anecdotal experience, the build quality between the Vivoactive and Forerunner lines is noticeable. My VA 3 seemed fine until I got my FR 645. But I've never used a VA 4, so they might have stepped things up.
For my purposes, the FR 745 is the sweet spot right now, and I love mine. I don't do triathlons or ultra marathons, so I don't think I'll look at the fenix line again.
