No headphones can ever be worth $1900
And if people are buying it even at $500, they need better product choices and investment ideas
Cool, please post this on a website about "what products are worth" rather than this website, which is about "products that cost less than they normally do" - maybe someone at that other website will care about your opinion.

How do these compare to the "$900" 560v4? I didn't like the 560v4 and I returned them last week. Are these actually worth $1200 or are these being inflated like that last Hifiman deal? My only other pair of cans are Sony MDR-Z7m2 and I like them a lot. But I thought that a pair of planars would be a cool change. The 560v4 was severely lacking in a lot of areas. But at this price I would try HE6SE if I would see a big change from my Sony's. I use a Sony PHA-2A amp if that helps.
No one buys the 560v4 for 800, it's normal price is 220.

Those rechargeable portable "amps" tend to be disappointing on cans that really need a lot of power. And these planars really are "thirsty". You might like them more with a proper amplifier but that's obviously subjective.

I have tried both and there's no comparison. The sound is significantly better on these in almost every way. I bought a pair of AirPods max since these headphones aren't necessarily portable, and sometimes you need a good pair of portable cans. Well, after going back and forth, I ended up returning the AirPods max because I couldn't listen to them after comparing.

I got these back in Nov when they were $550. They do sound great. I have a tube amp I use with them, but your phone will drive them just fine. Audio is always diminishing returns the more and more you spend, but I was impressed with these. I prefer them over my Focal set, and wireless Bose, but true statement that they are heavy. I wouldn't want to walk around with them on, but chilling in a recliner and they are fine. One other note, they didn't come with a case and because of their size, a case is kind of hard to find.

Have the Heresy, good amp for the price. Only drawback is the power switch is on the back.

You obviously have never tried headphones in that range and above.

Why buy a 7-series when a Honda Accord does the same thing pretty well.

The Schiit Magni won't be able to fully drive these. They're almost as hard to drive as the Susvaras and my Benchmark HPA4 was not able to fully drive a Susvara which was painfully obvious when I plugged them into a Ferrum OOR/HYPSOS combo (everything was much more rich sounding). The HE6 price is a trap, to utilize them you need to shell out for a high powered amp to bring out the full range. As someone said earlier get the Edition XS, same price and easier to drive, a Magni would work for that.

These are fine even with poor amping but you will not be able to get them particularly loud. Equal loudness curves are responsible for most of the subjective change that comes with amp power increases. Planar headphones like these have completely flat electrical impedance so there is no area of the frequency response that an underpowered amp will perform differently on compared to a more powerful amp short of crapping out. That is assuming you have taken care of clipping, etc upstream

Just would like to warn those who do not yet have a poweful amp, it is a rabbit hole. I ended up to spend another $1k or so to make HE6SE to sing properly.
