I'm gonna recommend getting generic bulk packs of melamine sponges. Just as effective for a fraction of the cost

The biggest tip I can offer for these is to only wet a very small portion of the end of the sponge. If you wet the whole thing it essentially turns it into a one time use sponge. If you just wet the final half inch of the end of the sponge you can still use it effectively but it will last you 5 times as long.

These work surprisingly well, though just be careful since they'll remove paint/wood stain

Do you have a recommendation you can link? I'm happy to do the research but it sounds like you may know of a good deal or at least point to the right direction.

I think they are referring to these 100 Pack Magic Sponge Eraser Extra Thick and Long Lasting Melamine Cleaning Sponges in Bulk - Multi Surface Power Scrubber Foam Cleaning Pads - Bathtub, Floor, Baseboard, Bathroom, Wall Cleaner https://a.co/d/b8KWdBV

Think of them as very fine sandpaper.

I get my melamine sponges off eBay for ~$10 for 100 sponges. The ones I get are slightly smaller than the magic erasers but you can also search for bigger ones if you want the exact same size. Magic erasers are melamine sponges.

I literally just bought whatever was cheapest per sponge on Amazon. I have no experience with multiple brands to give a comparison, but the cheap stuff I got did whatever the magic eraser commercials show

I clean for a living. The genetics are nowhere near as good.

Those genetic ones break up incredibly easy, that's why they're cheap. I've tried it before after seeing some post about them. Having both at the same time, 1 magic eraser is still going for about the life of 20 generic, at minimum
