Yes, the 4th gen Echo Dot has much better sound than the gen 3. Definitely worth the upgrade.
Imagine in rare situations your eyes are roving around the room and make contact with this device and you realize by the time displayed you forgot to do something? BTW, it is far quicker to SEE the time than ask Alexa for it. She has to look as well and probably looks at one of these devices first. She's quite a busy lady ya know?
